The first "fidget" ring is actually a mini Tibetan Buddhist prayer wheel ring. You're supposed to kind of use a circular motion to twirl the weighted ball around because ideally you would be meditating, chanting, or using prayer beads at the same time. The fact that it's sold as a fidget ring is fine. More prayers for all souls on the earth (not just humans). This particular one I believe says, "Om Mani Padme Hum" which is meant to bring enlightenment. Each rotation is supposed to equal a prayer said, so prayer wheels are kinda shortcuts to prayers as a number of Tibetan Buddhist prayers are a bit long and complicated, especially if you want to use the original Sanskrit and you're still learning it... 😊 I'm still in education, and there is a LOT to learn. I was surprised to learn that there's a Tibetan Buddhist temple about 25 minutes drive from me, even here in South Carolina! It's 22 acres! 😲

Jacky, I think the last ring (the golden Finger Squeezy one) was not so much intended as a fidget ring, but is an Ali Express knock-off of the Foldable Astronomical Sphere Rings you can get on Etsy and elsewhere. Note that one of the inner rings has the symbols of the starsigns on it! I think you could also still open it more for the extra layers that are also in those kind of rings, from what I saw of extra hinges when you toyed with it!

I actually am a chewer, and thanks to Jackie i found some awesome fidget toys which are exactly what I need! I'm a chronic nail chewer, and I've been trying not to basically rip my fingernails down to where they are attached, but I never found anything that could compare. The only thing I found are the soft rubber tips on pens used for phones, but I destroy them in less than five minutes and having rubber pieces in my stomach is not really... Ideal. Imma try some of those chew toys, and see how it goes. Thanks Jackie!

There were actually two more seperations between the rings in the last toy. You could split the outer ring, making a horizontal line, keeping your fingers from getting smashed. And the inner ring could be divided as well. If you orient all the rings to get as equal distance as you can, you get an almost ball, you can roll around in your hands.

As someone who also has a very reactive gag reflex, I have gagged on food before. Usually it’s if I’ve taken too big of a bite, or encountered a texture I don’t like. I have a chewy necklace to try and keep from nail biting, but it’s too big for my reflex as well.

"Is fidgeting with your tongue a thing?" Actually yes! I have a permanent retainer cemented to the back of my lower teeth and I find myself scraping my tongue against it in a fidget type way all the time. You can find the listing with this bunch of keywords: "Original Genuine capsule toys cute sugar sweet soda peach pink soft jelly bears clasp hands squeeze Stress Relief gashapon toys". They are semi-transparent with different colored beads, stars, hearts in them, and they have the usual cute black beady eyes, not the creepy O_O look like that poor galaxy bear. 😂 Not sure if the bear mold similarity is intentional or not, but it does look like the same for me.

Use a thin layer of UV resin on the parts of the rings and clasps on beaded necklaces and bracelets that will touch your skin to form a protective barrier between your skin and the metal. Unfortunately chain is a pain because the chain loses its flexibility. Luckily my friend isn't allergic to finger nail polish so I showed her how to coat most of her jewelry with diamond hard clear top coat nail polish. It works like a charm. Of course with the UV resin you might have to go with slightly larger ring size.

The chew toy part was hilarious. You are such a trooper Jackie, for trying your hardest for us! If that isn't love idk what is. lol (I am aggressive - I would have chewed the crap out of that thing! Ha.)

Yes you can fidget with your tongue! That's exactly why I got a tongue ring when I was younger, it prevented me from chewing on my tongue so that I could fidget safely.

Every time you post I feel so much better. I find myself rewatching your videos whenever I need cheering up. You are a ray of sunshine. I think I'd like the atom ball as well. I find things like that really comforting. I can't get mrs bench here but I really wish I could. I need some good fidget toys in my life.

as a chewer, for me its always super annoying when teachers say we need to put our gum away, I cannot concentrate if I'm not fidgeting, and chewing is the easiest way to fidget at school. personally tho, I am too scared to get chew fidget toys because high school kids are judgey

You can absolutely fidget with your tongue. My husband had a really bad habit of chewing his fingers, so he got his tongue pierced. He fidgeted with that and it absolutely helped. He's since let it heal, but it did help for a while.

I never thought my need to constantly chew something was considered as fidgiting? Would probably explain why I wouldn't let my parents take my pacifiers until I was 4, but kept chewing on other stuff. I may have to look into the chew fidgets.

I wish for the gummie beats you had also tried on glass. Now im gonna be curious for quite a while, just thinking if they react diffrently to glass compared to a wall xD also fidget toys like that make me wanna throw them from a hight to see how and if they splat like that one guy does with his monkey xD.

Those chewable fidgets would have been clutch a few years ago. One of the kids I worked with back then was very fixated on oral stimulation, she would sit outside during playtime and chew rocks, stick every small toy in her mouth. We had to lock away small pearls and other non digestible material, to keep her safe. I made a toy for her out of a thick yarn and huge wooden pearls. I don't quiet remember how I did it. She used to hold the ends and hold the middle in her mouth and move it with her tongue so the pearls from both sides would clack against each other. Incidently a good way to find a nonverbal child, just follow the 'clack clack clack'
