@@jamesh256 They offered AA a contract but he did not want to be part of the rebuild. AA made a mess with bad contracts for old , slow injury prone players that they could not trade. AA made the worst trade in Blue Jays history. The team has given up on John Schneider, you need to find the right manager. The team was competing at the start of the season, you had injuries, sickness went through the club house now the entire team has given up.

@@christopherblack4520 Don’t believe in the propaganda. Shapiro had no intentions of keeping AA. He had Ross lined up the whole time and he’s shown his loyalty to him now. The guy has been an utter disaster and has managed to keep his job. AA would’ve stayed if he was correctly and fair compensated. Also that “disaster” he left us in was after making 2 ALCS’s. Something this management can only dream of.

I actually don’t think JS should get all the blame. He was brought into a team that was sold as contenders as a rookie manager. He’s going to make mistakes, the roster isn’t performing and he’s working with what he has.

It’s not just Shapiro and Atkins , it’s the core of this team . It needs a new nucleus Vlad and Bo are not going to win anything . You have to trade them away and get a haul for each , reload the stripped farm system from the trades and free agents departing . This will shed tons of payroll and go out in offseason and spend on new players that can hit , and a new bullpen for once .

I am tired of Atkins and Shapiro diving in baseball's player dumpsters for a deal. This team had clear offensive deficiencies and in answer we got Vogelbach, Turner, IKF, and Kiermaier. All have had their moments at the plate, Kiermaier remains a Gold Glove plus defender and IKF has been a solid addition but none of these guys have 30 home runs or 100 RBIs in them nor are any the clutch bat that brings home a walk off. (Vogey and Turner just aren't consistent enough despite occasional outbursts.) It looks like the Jays will be sellers by the trade deadline this time.

Manager doesn't matter when the team is playing like shit. They don't seem to care half the time. Last year Vlad was running around the bases making money symbols by rubbing his fingers together, he should be focused on hitting the damn ball, and the money will come when he does that. I got a subscription to watch the Jays and gave it up after 2 months; the issue isn't the losing, the issue is the management are intransigent, and players are listless. No clue why Shapiro is seen as good GM, they are more concerned about renovations and the "ballpark experience". Well he's soon going to experience an empty ball park because people won't support a team that doesn't care.

Vladimir seems to have recovered from a bad April and is doing fine. May have tried a swing adjustment that didn't work. Bo seems to tried major swing changes and is still trying to make them work. Advice from a HOF coach may be tempting. Why would a player who hit all fields, batted .306 in 2023, hit 29 homers, would make swing changes? His performance, prior to the swing changes, was in HOF territory.

How about, get rid of every PSYCHOPATH home-plate umpire, replace with Human Being umpires; Also, get rid of every PSYCHOPATH in the MLB head office; Also, get rid of every PSYCHOPATH judge for challenges. I already know the answer to this. Schneider is a great manager and Atkins and Shapiro said they'll never fire him and the Jays are a great team apparently. All the coaches are the best in baseball and there won't be any trades because at 14 games back they will win the division. At this point Atkins and Shapiro are Trudeau and Singh. A couple of compulsive liars who tell you it's raining when shit falls from the sky. I stopped watching the jays two years ago after the 2022 playoff bomb. I can't support this team with this idiotic leadership. You CAN do a turnaround in TWO years. 2021 three 100 loss teams and two were in the WS last year and one racked up 101 wins.

He is not the one swinging the bat. Top end keep changing players and think they are making the team better. Now your coach has to work with new people and find the best fit. Some of the decisions are not his but managed by management. You don't see that and blame one person.

I've never seen so many balls get to the wall in the outfield . Who is putting these players in position ? Remember Devon White . He caught everything . The only balls he didn't get to were balls hit over the fence . I don't think he ever dove for a ball . Was he that much better than these guys ? I think we have 3 solid outfielders and all 3 of them are diving for balls all the time . Get back to basics . Quit over coaching . The majority of players pull the ball yet we play the majority of them to hit the other way, that's a huge mistake . Play more straight away , our three will track the ball down , they can move their feet you know .

Huh? 14 of the Orioles 17 runs the past two days have come on home runs. Maybe the Jays would be better served finding pitchers that can keep the ball in the playing field. Otherwise the Jays would be better served just positioning their outfielders in the stands!

@@terryweller1233 They also need catchers that can call a game . One complete game in 7 years , by a guy that calls his own game , Bassitt . Richards only throws 2 pitches , fastball and changeup. Calling a game is easy when the pitcher is on , it's when he's off , that's where you make your money . If he can't get a pitch over, don't throw it , throw something else .
