Meh, I think the issue with the new god of destruction guy is that Kakumei is just planned to be a long ass fan manga. You say that they introduced him too late for you to care, but like, this is still considered to be the very early game section of the story. I think this type of thing is pretty inevitable. You either A. show his whole ass backstory at the beginning which would cause everyone to immediately click off because their forced to stare at a character that isn't Goku or Vegeta for 15 minutes, B. Introduce him alongside everyone else which would just confuse the viewers even more than they already are, or C. do it this way.

@@Redapll well this is only his intruduction and later like literally the next arc they show us that he's him tbh i do have my problems with kakumei story telling they intruduce so many story lines that you start forgetting sum i think they realized this and started focusing on certain storys but for someone who's new to kakumei it may be annoying like ⚠somewhat of an spoiler alret⚠ Earthlings and majin buu is still to this day not contunied and we know nothing about their adventures which as i said is okay if the writers are planning on focusing on them slowly but that'll take so much time and drawing like the arstyle is insanely cool but it takes them so much time i just hope they don't do an evil majin buu story since he's in the demon realm

@@Redapll See that's the thing though with this manga, the character isn't introduced on the basis of hype for his power. The appeal is more based on "A. Who is he and B. What the hell is he planning to do". As DB fans we're used to "big strong evil guy do big strong evil guy stuff" but this writer is taking a different route, which I like from fan mangas. It's not just Dragon Ball+. One thing I do fully agree on you with is his side lackeys, they drag down his introduction a lot. Also doesn't help that they look super generic

There is a common sentiment that it doesn’t have the true spirit of Dragonball. This is the same with every fan manga. What they all offer is a glimpse of the Dragonball could be with interesting concepts/premises. At the end of the day, they are just fan manga. Made by fans with different perspectives on the story and where to take. Some will be good while others will be bad/ weird. But this will appeal to a part of the fandom in which everyone has their own personal preferences and interpretations of the series . You can be someone who only follows Toriyama/Toyotaro/Toei writing and that’s fine. Which is why you may feel like it lacks that “ spirit “ . Despite Kakumei’s flaws, I personally enjoy it for what it is , even though it isn’t like Toriyama’s style of writing.

Ngl, I'm starting remember why I stopped keeping up with this story. The art is great and the attempt to expand the history and lore of the multiverse is cool, but never been a fan of the stypes of stories that switch between a bunch of points of views, it makes the story feel so unfocused despite the fact it's all lewd up to an end goal. No disrespect to the artist, but this is the part where the story kinda loses me.
