Thanks TST for making great products. Today I installed the Halo flush mounts and LED rear pods. I don't know why I didn't go this route the first time. I ditched the OEM pods . I have the fender eliminator, stealth license plate light and flasher relay. The harness adapters are great. Now my R3 will need less blue tape on track days. Keep up the great work!

Great video! Is there a kit or harness to add running lights to the oem rear turn pods? I noticed a blue wire in the harness that is not being used. I have a 2018 R3 and my front pods are running lights as well as turn signals yet my rear are only turn signals. The front oem pods have a third blue wire, i'm assuming this is for the "running" current. If the rear pods are not made to be running pods, would a pair of front pods work as rear running pods with this harness?
@TSTindustries3 жыл бұрын
Your rear signal connectors on the bike's harness side do not have anything in the third position that is meant for running light in our harness converter set. You would have to do some custom wiring from the running light lead to the tail light and at that point you are better off doing all custom stuff. Even if you get yourself running light functionality to the signals, do you really want amber lights in the rear where red is supposed to be?

Hi,is it possible to run LED pod signals together with the integrated tail light? So when you turn on the signal both the LED pod signal and the integrated turn signal is blinking? I'm kinda new to this stuff,watched the integrated tail light tutorial aswell but all the connectors are mixed up so i'm kinda lost if both can be plugged and played,and if not,you can always tap into the wires to make it work,right?
@TSTindustries7 жыл бұрын
Yes you can definitely run our Integrated Tail Light with LED Pod Signals. You can see an example of this setup in action by following this link (skip to 6:52): kzbin.info/www/bejne/j5eYqpebmbpsr5Y We also offer a separate Yamaha Y-Style Signal Harness Splitter that will make the connection plug and play with no cutting necessary. All you would need is our TST Led Rear Pod Signal Kit for Yamaha (tstindustries.com/TST-LED-Rear-Pod-Signal-Kit-Yamaha.html) and the Yamaha Y-Style Splitter (tstindustries.com/TST-Yamaha-Y-Style-Signal-Harness-Splitter.html) and you should be good to go!

Hi was cruising through your installation vids and i was just wondering, can the LED pod signals be installed on your standard fender eliminator/undertail kit or are the pods only compatible with the adjustable? Thanks, Btw love the products and vids!

Yes! the LED Pod Signals can definitely be installed on our Standard Fender Eliminator brackets. So it's really up to you to pick which style works best for your needs.

Can these be combined with the your integrated taillight to work together?
@TSTindustries3 жыл бұрын
Typically yes, through the use of our Y-splitters to make everything plug and play. We did find that on the 2020+ MT03 this combo doesn't work. If you have gen1 or gen2 R3 then you can surely use this combo.

Hey there - if i have a lot of excess wiring on the inside (under the passenger seat/tray area) is it dangerous to leave as is? Needs to be tied up in electrical tape/grommet? Or okay as is? thanks!
@TSTindustries7 жыл бұрын
Where is the excess wiring coming from? For the most part you should be able to tie or tape them up into a small bundle to be put out of the way.

Hello, Just wondering if the signal lights needs a tst flasher relay to adjust the flash speeds just like the flushmount signals or do they flash at the same rate as oem lights?
@TSTindustries8 жыл бұрын
If you want to control your signal flash rate (speed up or slow down your signals) our TST LED Flasher Relay will be needed. Once you install any LEDs on your signals, we always recommend changing your OEM relay to our LED unit.

Great video! I watched all of part 1 and 2 just because I was bored and curious on how this works. I don't even have a bike yet. I have a question for everyone... Is a brand new Yamaha R3 ABS good for a first bike? I've never rode a motorcycle before, but I'm very interested in getting one either this year or next year. At first I was thinking about getting a 600cc right off the start, but I don't want to be one of those people that underestimate the power of a bike and end up seriously injured or killed. Any suggestions or tips for a new rider?
@TSTindustries6 жыл бұрын
Definitely start off with a smaller bike and really get your skills and riding knowledge down packed. It's much easier, safer, and more fun to ride a small bike fast than it is to ride a fast bike slow. An R3, ninja 300, Ninja 400, or KTM RC390 are all great first time bikes that are very forgiving on throttle.

Just got a 2020 r3 yesterday. I,ve never rode a motorcycle before. Picked it up no problem. Its not too heavy, and it dosn't have TOO much power but plenty enough. Good intro bike for sure

Do these pod rear signal lights only turn on when you engage the turn signal or do they stay on consistently ?
@TSTindustries7 жыл бұрын
BlackStarDrawings03 they have one circuit so they are meant for signal function only
@hiphophater157 жыл бұрын
Ohh okay thanks for the quick reply ! Do you guys plan to develop pod signals that stay on consistently ?
@TSTindustries7 жыл бұрын
BlackStarDrawings03 we are not planning on making a dual circuit pod signal because there isn't any real demand for those. All rear signaling circuits do not utilize a running light, and only some of the bikes have a front running light circuit. Most Kawasaki and Suzuki models do not have a running light circuit in front signals. If there is no running light circuit on the bike then there is not a place to connect the second circuit in the signals. So you see, for making a universal setup it is better to stay with a single circuit. All that said, we will be launching a new front signal concept soon for some Yamaha bikes that does have a running light circuit. It will only fit certain models of Yamaha. They will not be flush mounts, and not really pods. We are calling the style of these new signals flushpod. They look real cool, are very aerodynamic, and insanely bright. That's all I can disclose on those at this point.

My 2019 R3 does not have the turn signal clips as shown. It has a set of bullet connectors that the negatives are paired on. Looks weird. I bought the bike brand new so no mods. Trying to get my new TST LEDs connection is tricky.
@TSTindustries4 жыл бұрын
Sounds like you are from Australia or somewhere around there. We have heard of some other countries having different means of connection for the signals. This is simple enough though...those bullet connectors are something like 5 cents a piece. You can cut off the connectors on our light and crimp on the bullets.

Are you the original owner? This sounds like somebody modified the bike. We have worked on so many of these bikes that we can probably remove the motor in 45 minutes (...oh wait, I did that on video). Anyway, every single one of these I touched had the same wiring setup in the rear. Maybe you aren't identifying the correct wire pairs in there? I wouuld say give our customer service guys a shout through our website. They will help you.

Would this be the same for a Mt 03 ?
@TSTindustries4 жыл бұрын
There is a small difference specific to the MT03. The signal connectors are a bit different from those found on R3. Regardless of that, when looking at our category of parts specific to the MT03 you will only find the parts that are correct for that part. We also have front and rear signal bundles listed that already include the correct parts. The actual part removal and installation modes are the same as in this video because all the other parts of the tail are the same between the R and MT models. You can fiund our part selection for the MT03 here: tstindustries.com/yamaha-mt-03-2020/

The connectors on the 22 mt03 signals are chunky and won’t fit through the hole that I drilled. Should I drill a larger hole or is there a way to take the wires out of the connector and reinstall them once they are routed properly?
