We took the necessary time to develop a fender elimination kit that would be unsurpassed in fit, function, style, and refinement. I’m about to get this and the Yamaha specific pod lights and install them all myself with the help of these videos. I have been looking for awhile but all the good reviews and the fact that they recommended the necessary parts and THE RIGHT ones, and how they have how to videos on the products is amazing. Easy install, instructions are great! Only the second modification I've done to any bike/vehicle so I took extra time making sure to follow step by step. The original way my bike had been put together (wiring) was done poorly compared to how the bike in the video looked and caused delays. Even with that in mind and being sick I was able to do it in about and hour. Thank you tst for the video, much better than paper instructions!

The tools are just your run of the mill stuff everyone who owns a motorcycle should have. Couple screwdrivers a 10 and 8 mm socket or open ended wrench, Allens in 3 and 4 mm sizes, that's pretty much it. Believe it or not, we have gotten criticism on the opposite end of the spectrum from viewers saying we show too much detail and take too long to present our installations. It's tough to find the middle ground where everyone is happy. Nowadays we just list the tools in the title screen.

Thanks for the video! I've got a few quick questions: Is the kit supposed to come with spare quarter-turn rivets? I noticed I didn't get any to remount the tray at 24:15. Regarding the universal license plate light - I'm having trouble fitting the cable into the posi-tap connector. Is it ok to use scissors to trim it so it fits? Finally, I dropped one of the posi-tap connectors. Is it ok to ride with them mounted, but not connected to the license plate light?

The quarter turn rivets for that tray were removed during the removal of the tray, and they just get replaced there. We actually typically get rid of that whole tray to make the trunk space larger. If you are talking about using scissors to cut off a bit of the license plate wire then yes, that should be ok. Wear some eye protection so the snipped remnant doesn't nail you in the eye. As long as you don't have any exposed conductors from the posi taps then there should not be an electrical problem while riding with them mounted but not connected. You can find a replacement at a local auto store, or you can just snip off the piece of wire with the OEM connector from your OE light and wire it with your new license plate light. This would make your connection plug and play, and steer around having to get more connectors.

Having a problem with the screws and locking nuts on the fixed plate bracket. They seem to be slightly to long and the block off plate will not fit properly

The non-adjustable bracket is manufactured with a 90 degree bend. I think you will be best served by taking a look at our website photos in the product page corresponding to this fender eliminator.

Hi, What happens if there are no Grey and Black connectors as described around 4:20 in the video. but there is a green and brown wire and a common wire for both of these..how can I connect then?

This kit does not include a license plate light by default however it is an add-on option in the product listing.

I had an issue with mine. Everything fits perfect but my license plate isnt slanted. Kinda looks awkward from the side. (Yep, i cheaped out on the options and got the fixed mount instead of the adjustable one!) PS: Also, the relay pin configuration on my bike is different from the US models and hence, my indicators are flashing like a hippie high on stuff lol.

The fixed mount still mounts the license plate at a slight slant so maybe check that you installed everything properly.

I couldn't install the undertail assembly onto my bike because the screws with the locking nuts on them were hitting the plastic in that void under the trunk compartment. They're just too long. HELP! :-(

TSTindustries nothing is labled so when the guy says get a screw ...which one I have 3 or 4 different sizes. I also have L shaped brackets ..I have no clue if I have this on correct because once again there not labled.. I though revzilla directions where bad. this company should invest in paper directions. it seems that you skip out on paper instructions to save money while making a profit making the customer watch a video for installation. it took over 2.5 hours to install this and the lighting

You have to take your time when watching our video. Don't skip around, or omit sections. A lot of time and care went in to making these instructions, and they convey all the information needed to build one of these systems. Listen to the directions carefully and pay attention to what is happening on the screen. It sounds like you got yourself the adjustable setup. With that setup you get a baggy of hardware that may be confusing unless you follow the process in the video. First, the countersunk head screws and nylock nuts get consumed to install the L brackets to the main license bracket. After that you are left with two washers, two longer screws, two shorter screws. The video clearly describes in words and imagery what fastener gets installed where. If you pay attention you won't have a problem We used to provide paper instructions, but after we started providing video instructions nobody used the paper type anymore. The video instructions actually take much more time and money to develop, not to mention the tens of thousands of dollars of equipment we have invested in to make the quality what it is. So you see, we aren't saving any money on producing video instructions.
