I had a blast with this game, it was something completely different! Let me know if you want to see more of this, I´d love to try this again with an even faster bike! Tomorrow I will upload another episode of the Automation Test Track Challenge where we have three new contenders, one of them does the quarte mile in about 7.5 seconds! Will we see a new number one on the leaderboard? Also I will do another SCUM livestream on sunday, starting at around 10 AM german time again. Still undecided if I will stream on saturday as well, but I might just do it spontaneously so click that bell to get notified when I go live. Thank you for being here and supporting the channel! :)

I do like that they have so many options to make it as accessible or simulation as possible. Bike games are pretty niche and it would be nice to see the community grow.

Couldn´t agree more Tuna! And I am thinking of getting more bike sims. There was that one sim that made the rounds about a year ago with (almost) photorealistic visuals? Gotta check that out as well!

Haha yeah those were the days Michael!! I still vividly remember my first crash free nordschleife lap in GPL, I was so thrilled about it! Took well over a year to get there too!

Wow, that's really adrenaline pumping. Balls to the wall in the truest sense of the word. More of this please, I can't even use a gamepad myself. In real life, many years ago, on holiday in Corsica, a biker overtook us in an extremely risky manner on a road similar to the one in the game. A few kilometres later, we found him beside the road. The bike was wrecked and he was seriously injured. Clothes and skin were scraped off by the asphalt. Not a pretty sight. Possibly one of the reasons why I never rode a bike.

Woah, man that was probably something you will not forget for the rest of your life. Yeah I am staying far away from bikes in real life. I will definitely do more content with this, I want to get at least one clean lap out of this!

Bring it down to 2nd, light front brake, then hammer it. while pulling back on the analog. 600 cc bikes struggle with a 3rd gear wheelie at the top of the rev band. but you can shift to 3rd and 4th while on 1 wheel.

This was the last CD Disc game I bought when I was on my Xbox-X and I still have it. Also the last physical game I own that I bought from a 'Game' shop. I really enjoyed it at the time but I never felt like I even came close to mastering it or the Isle of Man track. The handling of the bikes was a little unpredictable and to quickly turn towards a high kerb to avoid it was a little strange. As if the pivot point was the rider and not the bikes wheels. It would be great to play it again at a high refresh rate of 140 to 240Hz with the extremely close scenery whizzing past! Or in VR! I wonder if it could be played with a CSL DD base with a Mclaren GT3 wheel and pedals? Maybe with 180 degrees of rotation for the wheel?

British Dragon - I am using my own wheel & pedals to play RIDE 4, but the kicker there is that it is only the ONE USB to the PC. I'm not sure the software (x360ce) would let you have multible inputs, unless this game has wheel support (RIDE 4 does not).

@@SingleRacerSVR Do you have a low steering ratio for fast inputs? And has it made you better and more consistent? Less mistakes etc. Gamepads are too sensitive and the movements never look smooth and precise. Maybe I could just bind the 2 axis on the back of my wheel for throttle and brake? Instead of using pedals. I think people use the 2 axis for double clutch race start launches but you can switch them to programmable axis. Might be hard to change gears at the same time though. It would be great if they released bike bars that you could plug into the wheel base. But then you would need to have the base vertical for it to feel realistic. If their was money in it and a bigger bike sim market they could do it.

@@British-Dragon-Simulations yes, whenever I play RIDE 4, I always set the rotation from 900, to around 180. It help to take out the constant jittering of the bike side to side, as you turn either left or right.

Oh man, that brings back memories to the times when physical copies of games were the standard. So much has changed! I think you probably could play it with a wheel? Not sure I haven´t tried, I think it might feel weird though.

A new updated message to both Alex & British Dragon. I have just posted my new video showing off RIDE 4 again - so if either of you wanted to see how much smoother it is using a racing wheel as a mock console-controller input. Then check it out, but only if you wish too. I stress that the limit of the x360ce software is that it uses one input - but if you were happy having automatic gear changes - then I'm sure you could assign brakes & accelerator to either your gear paddles or buttons on the wheel if you were keen enough?

I know there will be a mountain of cry babies to battle past, but I NEED a super bike game like Ride or this in VR. So I can build a bike perrif to ride on. I have about 70% of what I need for it. just no F'kin title. And I have pestered all the devs to do it.

I have had a Motorcycle license since 16 years old.My fastest bike was a 1972+1/2 Kawasaki 903 Z-1 and 136 mph racing up a steep hill was the fastest I ever went.Never did it again.I found even with my mouth shut air opened my lips and only the teeth stayed together.But I like the looks of this sim Alex ! Perhaps doing a few 60 mph laps and gradually going faster may help.Only a thought though. :>) Cheers dear Friend loved the video .Due to time constraints I had to only see some at this time I had dinner to get ready.Cheers Alex :>)

@@TheExtraMile The key to this game is to race without the line you will find much more time with it off. The fastest I’ve gone is a 15.28. Learn the track learn every corner bump in the road . You will find breaking makers lamp post trees road signs .

@@jamescooper5372 Oh wow, I haven´t even been close to a 15 minute time haha. yeah I noticed that you kind of have to learn the track differently than you would with a car. You pay attention to different things, where the brakes could lock up, where you have to throttle back a bit to not do a wheelie etc it´s a different kind of challenge!
