I'm a Dodgers fan and one of the only Expos game was in the Puerto Rico. Still miss the Spo's.

The Expos fans have been abused by management. Just because they didn't show up doesn't mean they don't care. They care very deeply. Management screwed them. They dismantled a championship quality team just to save money. They didn't even try to keep the 94 team together. They offered Larry Walker nothing, and got nothing back for him. Management didn't care enough about the fans to even try fielding competitive teams for them.

This actually did air in Canada, but only in french and it was reduced to 25 minutes. On top of it all they only aired it twice... What a shame.

Nobody in Quebec stepped up as possible owners, Loria was inevitable because he was guaranteed the Marlins when John Henry bought the Red Sox. By taking the Montreal headache, Selig made sure he was compensated.

Imagine if that 94 team stayed together. Team of the '90s BY FAR would've been the Expos. 3 world championships without doubt.

You don't know that. The braves had the best pitching staff ever in 1995. I doubt they would have been able to beat them that year. The power house indians sure as hell didn't.

Batman And (much as I hate them) then there's the Yankees Dynasty of that decade, too. Playoff appearance in 1995, and of course the titles in 1996, 1998, 1999, and 200. Still, sad to see the Expos go that way, as a Mets fan and as a baseball fan in general. Happy Washington got their team, finally, but Montreal deserved better...hopefully they can come back in the next 10 years or so. There are rumblings, and the city's changed...with the Rays faltering, or with expansion...maybe my Mets will be play the Expos again someday? (OR, if the Rays moved and they had to stay in the AL East--games against Boston, New York...and *Toronto!* How's THAT for a TV and ticket generator, the reborn Montreal Expos vs. their old cross country rivals the Blue Jays in English-speaking Toronto!) :)

Daniel Freeman I actually had the pleasure of seeing the expos live at a braves game before they moved. It was two years away before it happened we were all nagging on Vlademier and calling his name out. I remember he got hit by a pitch in that game and people got onto him asking if that ball hurt lol

The way the Expos were playing before the strike of 94... the World Series trophy could've stood in Canada for a 3rd straight year. Surely, there's gotta be a current team that could stand to be relocated to Montreal... unless expansion should happen soon.

I totally agree the Pirates should have moved to Washington DC a franchise that has not had a winning season since 1992 but the Expos never got their ballpark up in Canada.

The Marlins just built a new park--they're not going anywhere, and besides, they've won two World Series...Florida can support one baseball team... Let it be the Marlins. That being said, it'd be nice to see the Expos come back. Signed: A Mets fan who misses "that quirky French Canadian team."

I think Brian Schnieder, who just retired this past offseason, is going to be the last player to have worn an EXPOS uniform!

At the end, after the man says, "We have to not only cancel the rest of the regular season; we also have to cancel the playoffs," the ARRET(STOP) sign is shown at a street corner. How appropos. If you ask me, it should have been the PIRATES moving to DC, not the Expos! Unless expansion comes about anytime soon, I'd say the Kansas City Royals ought to be considered for relocation to Montreal. How about that prospect... 2 American League teams in Canada.

The Rays situation is just plain sad. They have fielded competitive teams ever since 2008. The first success the club has ever had. They've made the playoffs 3 times, and reached one World Series, meaning they are no fluke. And with all this success, they are still LOSING money. There are a boatload of empty seats at home games, and that includes playoff games. And the owner has said that they can't be viable in this environment. Either they get a new stadium, or they move. One or the other.

No US based MLB franchise will ever be transferred to Canada, the political repercussions for that would be too much for MLB. Expansion isn't on the horizon either. MLB is not interested in Montreal.

I don't think Florida has any business in baseball. The attendance in Tampa & Miami is laughable. The Rays are a great team but no one shows up.

Aside from my Mom and maybe about 5000 real fans, the Rays have no fan base. Florida is a football state by far. Just not a baseball state. Sad to say but both the Rays and Marlins need to get out of Florida.

I disagree. No one should have moved to DC. Washington is a horrible baseball town. They had two previous teams neither of which had support and they haven't supported the Nats either. The Expos should have stayed put.

The Senators were terrible for decades before leaving in 1972. The Expos had terrible support after 1994 as well so you are showing a double standard. Plus comparing DC in the 2000's to DC in the 1970's is absurd.
