I want to add that I also didn’t like the way the doctor spoke about Lux being bright with nothing being “wrong” with him. Children with Autism don’t have anything “wrong” with them and if my kid does happen have Autism I don’t want him to have a provider to look at or think of him that way. So she had to go!

Wise choice. I wouldn't want a pediatrician like her either. Especially since I have a almost 16yo on the spectrum.

Whew! This one was heavy! But I just love your transparency. A few things: I love the whole team at Pediatric Consultants. My heart is broken for both Diesel and Marley. I hope that Diesel stays comfortable, and I am praying for you all. I appreciate how you’re down for the cause when it comes to Luxie. Sometimes parents will remain in denial about their children until it’s too late. Lastly, I love that you said you are always happy when a baby is coming. I’m the same way. Despite my husband and I trying for nearly 5 years, I still attend ALL the gender reveals and baby showers. I’ve traveled to Houston and Nashville and even hosted someone’s baby shower. Sow good seeds, always! ❤️

It was a lot it took me a few days to make it public. I looked up Pediatric consultants and I saw that there are a few locations so I'll read some reviews. Thank you so much for that because I'm a deep hunt. Thank you for the prayers girl it sucks but we're taking it a day at a time. And I feel you I also planned baby showers and held one at my house for people while we were trying and after miscarriages. I don't mind showing up for people during that time because its special and I know how much of a blessing it is.

Report that doctor to the medical board and I feel your pain with your dog being sick, I lost my 2 dogs within 3 weeks of each other.

I feel so understood when you talk about being emotional about Lux growing up. I definitely be in my feelings every few months about my baby girl growing up, she turned 2 in January. Im sorry to hear about Diesel. I’m not a puppy mom but I can’t only imagine how hard it is. 💜

Girl I am so surprised at how emotional I am still like I just cannot believe my tiny baby is 2! LOL. The news of Diesel has been tough but we are taking it a day at a time.

😊Sending love & prayers from Hawaii!🌺 1) 🙏Prayers for both of your fur babies, 🐕‍🦺Diesel & 🦮Marley. I’ve grown up having dogs & cats 24/7. It’s always hard when they start to get older because they’re a huge part of your life and family. Try to 💞cherish all the time you still have together and focus on all the fun memories. They also have some really sweet ways to honor your pets w/ cute memorials (pet photo pillows, paw imprints, 3D photos etched in crystals, etc.) 2) 🙏Prayers also for your fertility journey & ✨baby dust✨ for baby #2 & for Lux to be a big brother soon! He’s growing up so quickly! So so grateful I finally got my BFP after 7 years of infertility, 8 different drs., & numerous misdiagnoses. Thinking of switching dr. again because my newest OBGYN isn’t being proactive and keeps dismissing my concerns after I had an emergency scare w/ severe bleeding & clotting. Thankfully baby is still healthy and doing okay. 3) I agree 100% w/ you!!! If you are not satisfied with your dr./pediatrician, switch ASAP! That lady should red flagged and have her certification removed if she’s nonchalantly misdiagnosing children and also referring to autism as having something “wrong” with them! So glad you did your research & are advocating for your family!

Thank you so much! I love the paw print idea. I have an ornament from when he was a puppy that has his paw print so I'll probably make another one for him. We appreciate the prayers for baby #2 hopefully we will get that BFP soon. And congrats to you SO SO happy all is well for you and baby after that scare. Prayers for a healthy rest of your pregnancy and delivery. That doctor will never see my kid again. I'll always protect him and advocate for him.

All I can say is WOW!!! I would have given that doctor an earful about my baby! No way! Glad you aren’t going back to her and glad you did your own research! We are our babies first advocate! ❤️

Awww the doggie! So sorry to hear about him. My sister’s dog also did the same thing… Would eat any and everything then all of a sudden nothing. They found out he had pancreatic cancer. He was only like 5 years old. It’s so sad watching them go through that and my sister refused to put him down. I ended up taking him to my mother’s house and he passed away there overnight. Just try to keep him comfy and happy. I hope you find a new ped for Lux and you have a great birthday despite it all!

Oh Taunya! That’s a lot especially with TTC’ing and Diesel. I’ll definitely send some prayers up for y’all because losing a loved one is tough. Don’t apologize for showing emotion because it’s to be expected. The whole pediatrician thing is wild! What does “he’s bright mean?” Girl…the way OUR children are treated by some medical professionals are completely exhausting. Just like you said keep doing your research to advocate for Lux. It’s tough for me to see my little girls grow up too. I didn’t appreciate the older kids growing up as much as I do now, it’s quite interesting. Just continue to enjoy every moment like you do now. 💕

Hey My Taurus Sister Twin 💕 I am sending lots of love, happiness, and baby dust during your TTC journey for baby #2. 🤰🦋🌈👶🏽 We are claiming any fertility issues that are trying to get in the way to be GONE. One more comment.....waaaaait one minute! She asking you for updated forms? She needs to be reported to the board or something! Like, ma'am! That's their job to keep updated information! WOW!!!!

Autism has nothing to do with intelligence. A DOCTOR should know that. And the fact that they implied something was “wrong” with him was totally inappropriate and unprofessional. Not to mention misinformed. My autism wasn’t diagnosed until later in life because of this same issue. I was often called “too bright” or “too smart” to be on the spectrum, but again, intelligence isn’t affected by autism. Many people have higher than average IQs. It’s also scientifically backed that most people with autism have “average” or “above average” intelligence. I’m a part of the medical community now and I’ve worked with kids with varying degrees of autism. I can say with certainty it’s still not something that’s well understood by lots of healthcare professionals.
