Just a tip: when measuring hole centres if you measure from the outside of the holes (example, left side of the left hole to the left side of the right hole) you’ll get the exact centre measurement instead of guessing where the middle is provided both holes are the same diameter. Hope that makes sense

Just a little hack for you. Next time use masking tape across the holes, mark them out, stick the tape to the ute and you will have a clean edge and it makes life a bit easier. Great vid cheers.

I don't think those 8 bolts will hold the tent. Not even 50kg. load. Check out the design from buds customs au. It does not take support of 8 bolts and rather leans on the truck bed.

Had my legendex tub rack for 20months now welds starting to rust. Be carful not too scratch the rack as powder coating is very fine rust will show up.

Thank you for the video. How much load can the rack carry? I don't think those 8 bolts can hold the load on the rack. They should've added a metal to lean on the truck bed like how "Buds custom australia" has. That way the truck bed will take the load and not the 8 bolts.

Any ideas what can be done for a cover ? Do you think a custom tonneau ? I have one on my Nav with a roof top tent but don’t think ahead for a cover

Looking to get a set,up like this for my ute, however, I'm wondering if it is difficult to remove? I have a dirt bike that I need to carry in the tray every now and then and am wondering if it is a painful process to remove the rack on rare occasions?

Hey mate 👍 i don't plan on running a rooftop tent with this build. I do pack it full of camping gear when i go away and throw fire wood on it all the time though and it holds the weight no worries at all. Double check with legendex though mate and ask them if they think it will be okay to run the brand tent you are looking at.
