Tub Shower Install | Wall And Tub Floor Support

Tub and shower inserts can be very flimsy. I'll show you how to install and add support to the walls and tub floor.

I’ve worked at the big box store in the plumbing department, and we always recommended drywall mud as a base for the tub, but I think the foam would be a better insulator. Great video.

@@bextar6365 The wife wanted to be able to take a bath without all the water draining into the septic tank. The water will drain behind the building instead.

My apartment had a fiberglass insert like that. It began to age and get spider cracks that began to leak. The apartment complex had someone come in and lay a new fiberglass sheet layer over cracks. He roughed it up, applied some epoxy, placed a sheet on it and let it dry. It never leaked again. I was honestly surprised and impressed.

we are trying to find a cheap shower but Lowes in Nacogdoches is always out of everything. You have to order anything and hope it come in. I guess I will need to try one of the local shops non box stores. or go to Tyler or Lufkin...uggh
