I was born in 1964. My whole family was democrat up through the Reagan presidency. I joined the Marines in 1987 went to Desert Storm and while there I switched to Republican being a personal choice seeing how the democrats wanted to handle the war vs the Republicans. But I didn’t get politically woke till the Clinton run for president. From that point forward my entire family switched to Republican each on their own. Keep in mind this is a Texan latino family. The only thing that bothers me with this kind of thinking is this. Who decides who is mentally ill enough to be locked up or not own guns? And what will be considered the threshold for saying you cannot own a gun? And where would this lead to? In my opinion the government will just use things like this to take more rights from us.
