NAPPY, for future battles you may want to consider running Sniper Drapion with Knock Off (instead of Night Slash) and Cross Poison (instead of Poison Jab) Knock Off's utility makes it much more useful in my opinion than the extra critical hit ratio that Night Slash provides. Also, Poison Jab does a little more damage and has a higher chance to poison, but Cross Poison's chance to critical hit outweighs those tiny buffs, in my opinion. Anyways, just something to think about! Good luck this season!

I'm not sure if you've realized yet nappy, but you have the potential to make a pretty sick rain team if you feel necessary for any of your opponent's teams. Cindy, Britannia, and Joey galaxy are obvious threats, but a mixed dragonite with hurricane, thunder, e-speed, and dragon pulse/outrage (spread dependent) and a life orb could easily catch people off guard and rip apart any pretty much any non-steel type.

For dragonite you can bring a weakness policy with d dance so you should live in any hit with the multi scale so you can just d dance up until the hit you with a super effective move

not with a choice scarf set. Night slash isn't even worth it. the normal crit chance (crit stage 1) is 6.25%. high crit ratio moves like night slash and cross poison have a crit chance of 12.5%(crit stage 2). It's a higher crit chance but it's still not in your favor to get the crit. Sniper raises the crit damage from 1.5x normal damage to 2x normal damage, but it doesn't change the crit chance. If you want to actively abuse the sniper damage increase you need to reach at least crit stage 3, giving a 50% chance to crit. In drapions case, that would be by giving it a scope lens while using high crit ratio moves. crit chance and damage aside, poison jab has a higher base power then cross poison. On top of that poison jab has a 30% chance to poison whereas cross poison only poisons 10% of the time. Night slash vs knock off is a similar story. Knock off has 65 power while night slash has 70. Without the item removing effect night slash would be the better move 100% of the time, but because when knock off removes the item it power increases by 1.5, 6 knock off hits will outdamage 6 night slash hits. On top of that, removing the item will cripple the opposing pokémon. No more leftovers recovery, no more eviolite, etc ...

Except Knock Off isn't as useful once you already knock the item off, then Night Slash becomes the better option. When it comes to the role that the Drapion needs to play, as a revenge killer and to outspeed mons, I need reliable damage each turn. Night Slash is just a better option in this sense.

You're wrong. Knock off still hase a solid 65 power after removing the item, which is barely weaker then night slashes 70 power. Drapion also has acces to crunch. so if you wanted reliable damage, crunch would have been your 1st option, not night slash. a 12.5% crit chance isn't reliable enough either to justify night slash over crunch because crunch still hase a 6.25% chance to crit anyay.. Knock off is a no brainer spammable move early game because it punsihes everything. Poison jab has 80 power so it is the stronger STAB move. Going for your dark STAB would only be more beneficial if none of other moves would be doing more damage. And that is only when you face golbat, alakazam or chandelure. Colbur berry on alakazam and chandelure prevent the OHKO regardless of which dark stab you bring, but knock off would otherwise allways OHKO. If drapion takes on the part as late game sweeper then EQ is your best option because it does neutral damage against everything except the golbat. Because golbat holds the eviolite, knock off would be the more reliable form of damage over night slash. Besides weavile and mega alakazam, nothing outspeeds your mega gardevoir. You EVd both drapion and thunderus to outspeed nipps other pokémon. So any potential scarfer on his side won't outspeed drapion. If drapion can't kill his scarfer you could at least go for knock off. Because then mega gardevoir can come in and revengekill. Nipps can't switch because nothing on his team can live 2 hits from mega gardevoir. Without knock off, you're forced to go into either dragonite or thunderus. Both are choiced so if nipps predicts correctly which move you go forhe could live the hit and drapion would have died for nothing. Obviously, at this point you have easy speaking Nappy because you allready played the battle. So night slash might have been able to do the job anyway which makes this whole argument pointless.

Nappy, if you made your Thundurus-T modest with 116 in HP, 156 in SPAtk and 236 in Speed you would've had the exact same spread BUT with an additional 6 points in SPAtk (making it 203). Next time if you're choosing your nature make sure you boost the stat with the highest base value (in this case SPAtk) so you can maximise their full potential. Last week you made the same mistake with Empoleon :/ Like so Nappy can see!

Question: would Levitate make Chandelure more viable? That's an extra immunity, plus some hazards (Spikes, TSpikes) do not effect it. However, it does remove another immunity in Flash Fire, so it can no longer stop Flare Blitz Darmanitan or Overheat Chandelure (I've seen people run that with Scarf, and it does put in work) or any other fire STAB/moves. I don't really think a lot of people run Infiltrator, although it being a decent ability. Decent, not good nor great. One of Chandelure's main weakness is Earthquake, maybe the most common attacking move ever and it loses some viable points for that. It does have a decent natural bulk (think it's 80/90 base defenses) and can/could live non-STAB EQs or really weak STAB EQs. However, it does pair fairly well with Roserade, due to it getting TSpikes and Venoshock and Chandelure having access to Hex. (Power doubles from 65 to 130 while being inflicted with a status. Does the same to Venoshock, but only if the target is poisoned/toxic-ed (or badly poisoned). And I LOVE running Toxic Spikes.

Next time you use Drapion... when not run Toxic Spikes? 130 into Hp 126 into ATK and 252 into DEF.. you're other moves could be Cross Poison, Night Slash, Brick Break.... this way he lives 3 super effective Earthquakes, and literally Bulks the hell out of you're opponent, with possible crits every turn, you can always use it as a lead, and if you see he is going to get bodied either swap or sack him off with 2 Toxic spikes set up... or you can use it Mid game or Late game...
