It’s a great watch with its simple design and layout. It goes with all outfits and works really well with straps. Plus you can walk around the street and not think you’re going to get jumped for it

Spot on analysis. I got the Ranger the week it came out and it’s my most worn watch. And it’s because it’s a carefree wear like you said. I also have the 40mm Exp 1 and never finding myself confused over which one to grab for the occasion. Great review.

Perfect analogy of a body builder versus an Operator out in the field. I’m no SF member, but that’s why I don’t work out with very heavy weights. And you summed it perfect. If you don’t like it, don’t buy it, if you like it, you won’t regret it. 👍🏼

It annoys me that so many hate the printed dial. I find it very refreshing and authentic. But would love it a little bit smaller.... 37mm something like that.

37mm would be great. I'd even like to see a true reissue at 34mm.

I like the printed dial too !
@michaelriera62774 ай бұрын
Why is it annoying? It’s an opinion. Honestly, the Ranger looks cheap. The print is very flat, the dial has too much negative space, it is an awful dull looking watch. I think if the Omega Railmaster’s printed dial showed more creativity and proportions. But this is just my opinion if you connect with the Ranger then great! 👍
@degenerateWA4 ай бұрын
@@michaelriera6277 i think it's hilarious how people will shit all over a watch and then end it with "but if you like it then good for you"😂. Very interesting form of communication.
@aussieexpatwatches4 ай бұрын
@@michaelriera6277 I agree on the negative space and hence the suggestion to simply shrink the watch a bit. I'm annoyed because I like printed dials, and so much hate is the label that a printed dial is "cheap". Very quickly nobody else will try to run with a printed dial again and I enjoy that simplicity. A printed dial is a design choice, and for the price point, it's not bad value. And it certainly floats my boat!

This watch took a load flak when it was released. I bought mine two years ago on the rubber strap, and at todays prices saved a few hundred quid.👍🏻 I love Tudors, but don’t like divers watches. So I was thrilled when this watch was reissued. My only criticism is I wish it was a 36mm case. It’s origins are impressive, it has a flieger feel about it, and it’s probably one of the best field watches ever made.

I have a very early release of the ranger, I got it the Monday after they announced the watch. The chamfering on mine is almost nonexistent compared to any ranger I’ve ever seen to date. It might be a qc flaw, but I think it looks a bit better than the way the watches were intended. I also have a 39mm explorer and honestly only wear my ranger. Nice little review…

With me buying a Tudor will justify not 'buying' a Rolex and spending upwards to about 10k. on a "mere watch". With Tudor there is a historical connection and DNA that ties into the Rolex brand. The Ranger is the Perfect Fit for ME and only ME.

If you're into homage watches and you haven't heard and considered the arguments for and against them many times by now I'm not sure what content you've been consuming.
