I agree w umadbro haha ...... Awesome video...... It shows a sustained stability at high-speed for a very long time. I have a lot of experience with very fast V bottom boats and that's a testament to that hull and or the driver ......probably both...... It's running very very well and very stable with very little wetted surface and it's flying ! I don't think the average person would appreciate this because they don't realize what it's takes to ride on the pad that smoothly for that amount of time..... I love it ! I also love seeing a fast Evinrude set up, running like that ! Awesome !

OMG! I've watched A LOT of boat videos on KZbin and this has to be the most BAD ASS video I have ever seen!!!!!!

Proving once again if you need steps on the boat, ( Tuff and Velocity have none)you’ve got a poorly designed hull for speed. Absolutely beautiful stuff! Thanks for sharing.

In flat conditions this might be true. But in offshore racing boats, another story. Steps helps reducing the wetted surface and maintaining higher speed in open sea conditions, the hull wil be better "planted" in the water. The Phantom 19 was a rather successful offshore hull in Europe. 20 years later the added steps( usual retrofitted does not work but in this case it did) and it still improved a lot.

@@joeordinary209 on the straightaways I agree but in tight corner you give up some bite. I’ve never seen a step bottom boat that can turn like my velocity. No blow out at speed.

@@Cojiii1959 Fully agree, stepped hulls typically are not that great on tight corners.

Proud they are Ontario made! Hire someone with a nice camera to shoot some video, these boats are absolute eye candy. Want.

He had a 28 w/860 Merc demo. I should have bought that sucker. He has a ONE YEAR wait list on boat orders!!

As well as these boats perform, s single stock 450r would probably push that 28 reasonably fast.

I want one with a 400 HP Merc. What do you think will it get to 115-120 MPH?
@powerboatguy23083 жыл бұрын
According to the website the recommended power is a 200 to 300 h.p. with the top speed being 118 mph, I'm assuming with a 300, I don't think you would want to put a 400 on it. The magic of these boats is they deliver performance with a lot less power.
@county_bear95092 жыл бұрын
The 300r actually outputs between 330-340 and does 118. A 400 will definitely get you there but may sacrifice some stability

Curious what speed this video was taken at ? I have a guess ....I am guessing this boat is not completely wide open for most of the video ....I was thinking it's running 75-80 in the video and capable of 90+ if set up right (I could be way off , please correct me if wrong

A 24 tuff has done 105 with a 300xs
@CamiloArca5 жыл бұрын
This boat does 94 mph with a 250 hp and 106 mph with a 300 hp. That's according to the manufacturer.
