You don't happen to have a video for the actual spring replacement do you? It seems really straight forward but I want to make sure

I enjoy your videos they are very helpful. Curious as to pick you brain on a torque for the u-bolts that hold the bottom spring seats to the axle. If I cant find a spec I'll resort to a torque chart. I planned on kiddy corner tightening them down in increments but just curious on a final tightness. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Nice video! I always get the torch out to put some heat on those 8 top bolts. They like to break

Are you raising it up first and then lowering it to assess the bottom pads or what are you doing to be able to access those? Hard for me to tell. Thanks
@SemiWorkin

Thanks for watching!! Yes I take the top pads off first then lift the truck to access the bottom.

M tires r cupping real bad on one side you think that could b the problem on m truck has the same suspension that u working on

How do you know when these pads are bad? Is it because under the full weight of the truck you have metal(spring) to metal(bridge/anchor point?) contact or what? I am learning here.

Thanks for watching!! Usually you can tell by looking at were the rubber meets the metal and how pushed out it is.
@jtg2737

@@SemiWorkin Thank you for conveying that to me. Basically the rubber pads are pushing out big time after losing their internal structure when you deem that they are done with.

I have noticed you never clean the mounting surfaces of the replacement parts. No wire brushing or air hose blow off etc. to remove dirt or scale. Is there a reason for this?

Thanks for watching and commenting!! I always clean mounting surfaces I just don't show that in the videos because I try to keep them under 45 mins.
