You've put together one of the best 3rd gen Tundra builds so far. Congrats and keep up the solid content. The 3rd generation Tundra is one of the first vehicles in many years to have me contemplating if I should move on from my 80 series.

@@RevereOverland they are very different. The 80 is staggeringly good on difficult routes. The Tundra would be vastly more practical day to day with extra room in the right places for those 3 to 4 week excursions I enjoy at least a few times a year. To be honest I don't think I'll ever let the 80 go entirely. If anything it'll be "retired" to harder trails and weekenders.

That truck looks a lot better with your front end mods. I think you definitely made all the right choices there, as the ginormous grille is partially hidden behind mean yet lean bumpers, and you get a winch mount that helps all of the above, too.

The set up on this rig is rock solid, good job! The cost for everything has to be north of $25,000 if you paid full price, I have a feeling you didn't. The only thing I think I would ad is an awning and some airbags for the rear depending how heavy your typical loadout is and possibly some kind of solar set up, regardless it's pretty legit, I like it. Thanks for your videos
@RevereOverland

Thankfully I was able to work with several companies or have them use my truck for test fitting, so was able to get a lot of stuff discounted or free. The back load is pretty consistent, and I don’t tow, so I haven’t found the need for airbags yet. An Rugged Bound 270 awning arrived last week, and I should be getting some solar soon!

I have a 2020 Tako and a 2018 Tundra and I'm looking to add the 2022 to the fleet to begin a build out. I may have to wait a year; no rear bumper armor is a really big no no for me. Great looking 4WD. I'm a big fan of the Tundra/Sequoia. If toyota sold the Tundra here in Australia, it'll sell well. I've noticed fully enclosed tubs are not popular in the US. Here in Australia, most overlanders with utes (aka pick-ups) ditch their tubs and get a fully enclosed rear canopy setup (or get a tub canopy). But I've started to see the rear tub racks (like you've got) on some utes here. I think it won't be long before they catch on and become mainstream option.

So nothing with Navigation or internet connection or gps usage is interrupted that you’ve experienced that’s awesome. About how much of your cab is covered by the tent? I've only used the truck's navigation about 5 times, but didn't notice any issues. I typically use CarPlay instead. The built in internet works just fine with the tent up there. I don't remember how much it hung over, and unfortunately can't check since I don't have this tent anymore.

The Sequoia looks great. I also hate that you have to get the TRD Pro to get the locker etc.

I would like to have your or anyone’s opinion on rust proofing. I do live in the rust belt. And I will be buying a new Tundra.

the only thing i hate about the tundra is the front look.. that long ugly bumper with that grill drive me nuts every time i see it . Finally yours is the first tundra i see where u chop that thing off made me so happyyyyy and the truck looks so great now in terms of aesthetics...

very well thought out. would love to get into overloading at some point. you'd be the perfect 'general contractor' to help anyone get set with upgrades to their Tundra. Speaking of that, I'm curious your thoughts on the Trailhawk model of Tundra....and options that are available straight thru Toyota.

You get 6 Km per litre?! That would be around USD$100 in gas, just to go 300Km here in Canada. Round trip $200 just for gas.
