It's funny how close a 35k car gets to a 45k car. Let's not forget the magic word there too "TUNED". I think no launch control is snappier just by using proper pedal control. If you can kill the axel tramp, it even puts it down more. The N is extremely impressive.

This further proves something was wrong with that STAGE 1 GLI. This A3 Is AWD, has the same tune, has no DSG tune, yet it kept up on a roll with the N. Yet the FWD GLI with no power loss, DSG tune and the same tune lost?. Either that driver was asleep or something was up with his tune.

Yeah, I agree. Something was up with that GLI. A3 = AWD GLI. Same engine same platform same trans. If the A3 beat it on a roll with the same tune, then GLI should have too. I already knew it was a bit weird when the Type R beat the N but the GLI couldn't on a roll when there is so many videos of stage 1 GLI vs TYPE R and all favoring the GLI. This low key confirmed it

As someone who has owned both the N is a better pure performance/track car. Audi is much better car in general, if you care at all about comfort get the Audi. On used market they sell for similar money and with a tune the A3 is faster from a dig.

Edited, just noticed A3 vs S3 What's the difference? A Google search isn't very helpful. According to a quick search, the A3 is FWD, the S3 is AWD. If all other things are equal, the fwd should be quicker from a roll, but the S3 better off the line.

Like i said the previous GLI was Not tuned i have a stage 1 APR high tq tune and a CTS inlet pipe and AF intake i raced an Elentra N and i put about 6 cars on him by the time we hit 130 ....i guarantee you that Gli was not tuned

Same car, same platform, same HP of tune yet the GLI being FWD and having an advantage does worse on a roll?. Further more STAGE 1 GLI beat the TYPE R with videos of it on KZbin while the TYPE R beat the N. This either proves that guys Tune was not working or god knows what hes doing in his car

In my MK7.5 I notice that they left a LOT of power on the table and that a stage 1 ECU and DSG really wakes the car up. I have a pretty mild tune and the difference from stock is incredible. EDIT: I'm happy there are so many awesome cars out there for people to choose from. I'm not thrilled about current prices though and feel for anyone shopping around in this market.

This shows you that GLI guy was lying about him being Tuned (he was definitely Stock) because the A3 and the Gli have the same exact engine transmission and power and this guy only making 286hp with his tune which means its only an OTS tune and not a full tune because a full stage 1 tune would put it at 318 whp and 370 tq but even then he beat the Elentra N so imagine with a full APR tune what would happen

So far one of the best I have seen! I really wished they swapped out the four-cylinder and used the 2016 V6 Genesis motor which packed 348 horsepower with 295 torque out of a naturally aspirated V6 for the Elantra. But for the most part props to Hyundai. Hopefully they keep going strong with their N line.
