The engine in our cars have a bit more boost lag than the 911Turbo S. From a dig the 911's response is instant, plus the AWD leaps. From a roll, once the turbos are spooled up, it'd be a much more interesting race. Also, keep in mind the track they're on is VERY short - less than a 1/4 mile from start to the finish line, so initial response is everything on this channel to win races.

The car is lowered on an aftermarket suspension. It was bouncing like all hell. Also, MP4-12Cs have tons of suspension issues in general, such as accumulators. Fortunately, my 570S doesn't have most of these problems. Also fun fact, OEM springs for the 570S are made by Eibach.

I had forgotten performance #s for the MP4-12C but per MT and R&T, they ran low 11s at 130+mph. Mags run on a prepared surface though. I never saw a MP4-12C run at the strip so can't say if mag times were realistic or repeatable. Street launch like this figure a stock MP4-12C should run mid 11s at 127-130, but def not as consistently as the Turbo S which legit runs low 10s at 135+. The MP4-12C in the video is tuned and looks to be on a 295+ D/R or high perf summer tire so I'm confused how it got spanked. The Macca owner is in the comments- did you personally see it dyno 600WHP or have other MP4-12C owners dyno'd 600WHP with this tune done? Also, it's possible the Turbo S was tuned and owner ain't sayin. Which would explain things a bit. Either way, cool video, nice to see exotic cars Sam!

Whoever tuned that 12C either doesn't know what they're doing, or flat out lied. Stock 12Cs constantly run in the mid to high 10s on street tires at the track. I ran a flat 11.01 second 1/4 mile at 132MPH (video on my channel) not using launch control, I personally didn't want to destroy the clutch because the track was crazy sticky, so just rolled out of the gate. With launch control that's an easy 10.7, or 10.8. The fastest stock 12C ran a 10.3 down in FL, better elevation. I know the Porsche has way better tech than a 10 year old 12C, not to mention AWD, but I've seen tuned 12Cs destroy many cars, specially from a roll. Something in this video doesn't add up. The 12C is nearly 500 pounds lighter than a 2022 911 Turbo S Convertible at least according to Google.

616 crank is probably around 525hp to the wheels which is only a 75hp+ tune. Seeing that a Turbo S does low 10s all day, peak high 9s and a 12C does low 11s all day, peak high 10s, going to need a lot more than 75 hp to make up that difference

@@vondeezl2961 I guess this is the age old debate but since the 911 has evolved from 1964, a car you can CLEARLY see its roots, that wasn't a supercar and either is the 9 1 1...IMHO. To me, a supercar is a mid-engined, "look at me" styled, no practicality car...the 9 1 1 is one of those. Yeah it's got the perf and can be spec'd to cost insane 💸 but it's no supercar...IMHO and it's why I love them so much👍👍

The super car moniker is usually reserved for cars with above and beyond performance (regardless of manufacturer) the Turbo S definitely falls into THAT category!! Now, the moniker "Exotic" is usually reserved for the McLarens,Lambos, Ferraris, Bugattis, etc. of mid engine, in your face body lines!! Your NOT Superman because you LOOK "Super" you MUST BE SUPER!! So in a nutshell, between the two cars, the Porsche is the quicker car (only in a 1/4mile), the 720S is the faster car.

i am so confused.. the stock numbers for the 12c are 625 to the wheels, not 600?? Am i wrong about something here or is this thing not tuned at all. The launch gives it away too i feel like. stage 1 12c boosts the torque from 443 to 650 but this launch was definitely not anywhere near 650 torque😂
