Most games that splatter plays do not appeal to me. But this one jumped out at me in the first few seconds, and I knew I would have to get it. Bought it a day or to later (couple days after it came out!) and I LOVE it. I grew up on old NES Zelda and Link to the Past on SNES. This scratches that itch so well. It's also just beautiful to look at, with fantastic music. Game play is great. I'm not as natural at these games as Splatter, so I'm dying a lot, but I love it. Wish more games like this would come out!

It stands for "invincibility frames" or "invulnerability frames", same thing. It means a brief period of time during a movement animation when your character cannot take damage. If you play any "souls-like" game you're pretty much guaranteed to have a dodge roll move and these are usually your best source of i-frames, although there are other ways to get them.
