I've been wracking my brain ever since I saw a sample of this done in the blanket yarn at Joann's Fabrics. Of course nothing was on the sample from Bernat as to what stitch it is. FINALLY! No more searching the internet! My husband can sleep at night!

What brand of flexible tunisian hook are you using?

I've enjoyed your previous tutorials on Tunisian and Entrelac patterns. I did make an Entrelac queen size spread for myself that is very "dense" and warm for winter. I have been thinking about the "issues" with Tunisian (curling and density). I'm wondering if you (or someone) has an Entrelac pattern using the Tunisian Double Crochet stitch? I'm kind of stuck trying to figure out the stitches to rows ratio and maintaining a rectangular pattern. Love what you are doing, keep it up! - Steve

I'm considering buying a set of several sizes of these Tunisian hooks that have the wire on them. What is a good way to store them so the wires don't get tangled?

Tunisian crochet is for crocheters who are too afraid to admit they like knitting.

Patrick Hodson I love your comment also. I can crochet and have tried to learn knitting but failed miserably. I do love Tunisian crochet. This will be my 2nd project. I made a10 stitch pillow first. So much fun and relaxing.

Hahaha, I love this type of stitch because it is knitting for the crotcheter. I also love loom knitting. One of these days I'm just going to break down and just knit.

Where did you get your tunisian crochet hook with the cabling?
@cathharr08

France Tremblay-Goban I bought mine from Denise. They sell it on Amazon. I got the set cheaper there than they offer it at Joanns or Michaels.

Wat does a tunisian hook look like.?without the cabling.
@cathharr08
@cathharr08 8 жыл бұрын
Robin Pratt the same as a regular crochet hook however, the neck is all the same size. The hook needs to be uniform all the way down so as you collect your stitches they will all be identical. You may be able to use a regular hook as long as you are collecting a small amount of stitches,,i.e. 5. Any more than that you need a longer hook with cable. I bought a 40" from Denise

How do I make a big blanket
@kafthegreat
@kafthegreat 9 жыл бұрын
+teresa foster You need to cast on more stitches at the beginning. He recommended 102 stitches. That is why you need the special hook with the wire at the end to hold the stiches.

I noticed that on the second row, you did 2 simple stitches instead of simple/pearl/simple. :)

WHAT SIZE TUNESIAN HOOK?????
@cathharr08
@cathharr08 8 жыл бұрын
Audie Siegel I think a 8-9 mm that's what the company recommends with this yarn. Really depends on your gauge swatch. I'm actually making mine with Bernat baby blanket yarn and am using a size 9mm Tunisian hook. It's looking beautiful.
