Several years ago, AvE did a thing where it was like members only for some videos on KZbin (not patreon exclusive) I didn’t care for that. But I have no issue if members get advance videos. I also would support a Q and A video where members where the ones submitting the questions. I think that would be a fair perk for them. Like a once a month Saturday morning “Shop talk with Ray”. Could even be a live stream that was uploaded for watching later. Edit: I’m not the type of guy who will become a member or a patreon, no hate, just not my style. I do support by purchasing from the Amazon affiliate links. Bought the brake caliper tool last month. Game changer over the old C clamp.

The average public just expects techs to wave a magic wand and it's all done. That really torques me off. For me, since I have to work in front of customer, everyone that comes by says "OOOh, are you sure you can get it back together?" "Is it ready yet? I need to print something" "Boy, Billy Bob must have really broken it this time"

Yeah I posted that yesterday that Ray should do what he wants and everyone else can get bent. I didn't know that video was gonna be what it was. I was all in a good mood when I saw the descaler. I'm like yeah we all got those here in NY. Then comes the story of the whiners not liking what he did, and like he said he was just playing around with the creators features in KZbin. I felt sad at that point, then I became furious. He'll get over it, I would think with all our support we give him.

My dad has an ungodly hate for bloodsucking critters. So my parents have nets on pretty much every door leading outside. They also got a mosquito machine the size of a BBQ grill that lures the mosquitos in with some scent cake thingy then zaps them. Problem is we got another kind of bloodsucker. Tiny insect related to black flies. They crawl into everywhere and bit a teeny tiny chunk out of you. The itching from these little demon monsters make mosquitos seem nice.

Loving the fact that you announce the different kinds of gravity going on. Usually the best parts of the videos, unless something extraordinarily funny happens.

And oh yeah, that PT Cruiser looks like a pain in the A to work on. I'm amazed you can remember where all the bolts and connectors go. Keep up the good work Ray.

Thank you for changing the station. I also noticed that the heavy metal station was getting on my nerves due to mismatched energy levels. Thanks again. Good job.

I'm sure I spend more money buying new rather than driving one forever but watching you work on these vehicles sure makes me glad someone like you is out there for those who choose to drive one forever! If I had a good technician like you near me I might decide to drive one longer as you certainly know how to find the problems and fix them! God bless and Merry Christmas!!

As an owner of a PT Cruiser, this video does hit my reward center. Nice to see different ways to approach these repairs. On mine I removed the front grille and support bars to get to the radiator and it seems like there were less steps than all this. Next summer I may be back in for an ac compressor change and will remove the front to get to it all.

Little known trick here...if you want to force the cooling fans to run just activate the air conditioner. Sometimes they have a separate fan for this but if not it helps you troubleshoot.

Click and Four Non Blondes Ray, I was in the car this morning with The Wife Unit. Mine, not yours 😉 And she asked me why I say CLICK every time that Four Non Blondes song comes on the radio. I had no idea I did that, but while discussing it with her I realised that for me, a Ray video isn't quite complete unless I hear "Click" from you and "What's Going On" from the radio in the back ground.

I had a PT Cruiser. (3 of them actually and I still have one. 2003 Woody Turbo with 64k original miles) I had the radiator changed out within 2.5 hours but also had to then change the thermostat because it was stuck closed. but, not too bad of a job. Although I did not remove the intake at all. I took off most of the front grill and bumper and went that route and it was easy enough.
