@@restoreitralphi have to agree with what he is saying… But if you want views the channel needs a purpose.. if you look at the title. Turbo dodge diplomat upgrade… other then your subscribers.. a person would have to be searching dodge diplomat to have a chance to see the channel and well younger people probly have no idea what that is.. Showing yourself and giving a peek of your garage was a nice personal touch btw… Also i mentioned this in a diff video but.. the old mans garage channel could possibly give yea ideas on how to grow this channel depending on your purpose.. 1-2 years ago he bought an older malibu and decided to show people that you could get into bracket racing really cheap well daily driving the car. Now though the channel musta got big cause tons of cars and currently adding nitris to the malibu.. Eitherway keep doing you and ill keep watching..

@@restoreitralph ultimately you need to do what you enjoy.. so far you have shown the car going down a track…. You have shown yourself working on it upgrading it.. in a nice garage surrounded by other nice cars.. aswell as its a nice older car i suppose car shows? Howabout all 3? When the weather gets better.. if you where to say make a video saying testing and getting car rdy to roadtrip and race at such and such race.. then video of u testing and cleaning car… then a video of road trip followed by some runs etc etc as long as its a track everyone is going to and you put the name in the title yknow.. or maybe you just keep taking it to your local track and overtime tweak the car to make it faster and show it off… if u want more content maybe have a project car on the side that maybe you only get a part or two a month for and it takes years to finish.. cause yknow we would be watching every video until it was done well wqtching whatever else your doing… Want to watch a person who is happy doing something they are passonate about.. which is what your doing… just do something with the cars man…. Your basically missing a dog that keeps walking infront of you getting in your way and a best friend who is either making you laugh ot messing up making yea grumpy 😆 By chance did you dyno the car before doing this upgrade so we can compare before and after?

Hey this is a cool channel. When I was back in my 20's (30 years ago) I built a 79 Chrysler Lebaron 2-door coupe with a 69' 383 727 and an 8&1/4 diplomat cop car rear and rear springs. I really wanted to turbo it, but lost my license "again" and never did. Love the Grand Wagoneer in the back ground, I'm fixing up a 90' right now myself.
@restoreitralphКүн бұрын
That’s killer! The Wagoneer is one I’m fixing up for my wife, I bought it with no powertrain and it now has a 5.2 magnum from a ‘95 Grand Cherokee. Hopefully I’ll be painting it this spring!
@ericwilson2585Күн бұрын
A 5.2 Magnum, that'll be awesome too. I'm not to crazy about that AMC 360 that's in it now, 11mpg, 146hp... I think I'm going to try and LS swap mine soon. A friend just rolled his 12' Cadillac Escalade with an L94 all aluminum 6.2L, and he wants me to do a bunch of sheetmetal work on a Ford short "fun bus" that he has. So I think we just might be able to work something out. Lol

Definitely noticed a bit more upstairs. I also put 4 hole injectors in from a 2002 Jeep liberty, and removed all the nosense air silencing walls off the throttle body ( looks like a 2bbl dominator now ). Major throttle response difference just from that. @restoreitralph

to be honest it looks a bit factory for a turbocharged car (given back in the 90s dodge could actually have made a turbo diplomat).the reason i like this car is because of a movie called short time. i love cars that are built to take hits and abuse instead of being a weak crumple can
@restoreitralph16 сағат бұрын
For sure, this thing is a tank! When I first started building it my original intention was to build a “what if” Shelby GLH Diplomat with stripes and phone dial wheels from a Cherokee but I really like the sleeper look. It may evolve into that GLH look eventually 👍

The terminator might be more hassle than horsepower. It could turn into a bit of a rabbit hole.
@restoreitralph2 күн бұрын
I’ve had good luck with factory efi on my stock magnum and Hemi swaps, but with the turbo I’ve had challenges tuning on the ancient pcm. The resolution of my fuel table is bad because I couldn’t add cells for boost, the driveability suffers and I think there is power to be made. Plus two step would help off the line. It’s probably not going to be as bolt on as I’d hoped, but it’s worth a shot! I’ll be dyno testing before and after, so we’ll find out!
@johnmcmullen456Күн бұрын
@@restoreitralphI had good luck using a Microsquirt system in place of the factory ECM for the modified 2.3 turbo SVO engine powering my Mustang. Had remote tuning to dial it in. Surprised you took a chance on an Ebay turbo. Much fear out there for their failures taking out engines.
@restoreitralphКүн бұрын
@@johnmcmullen456 I've never messed with a mega/microsquirt, although I would like to. With my cheap engine combo I wasn't as concerned with the turbo taking it out, but that is a real concern if I ever build a "real" engine for this car. Then I will put a quality turbo on it, although this one has been good so far. I went cheap on everything on this car, just to see if I could get it working!

Looks good, it sucks that Holley Terminator C doesn’t have cruise control, it sucks to loose that functionality for an “upgrade”
@restoreitralph3 күн бұрын
Thanks! That would be lame for a cruiser to lose cruise functionality, I don’t think the terminator requires a vehicle speed input though, that’s probably why. With the Holley throttle body I could adapt the original 80s style cruise unit but this car never had it and I’m not concerned for what I do with it for now.
@ryanhines7193 күн бұрын
I’ve seen a lot of people add cruise to their setup via Lokar or a few other companies that make solenoid style cruise control.
