I did this ten years ago and can’t find my notes - but the force of (assumed but within magnitude) cylinder pressures of 500hp out of a F20c were significantly smaller then the peak piston acceleration at 9k rpm, hence the reliable bottom end.

I wonder how much does the rocket anti-lag affects the longevity of the turbo.
@khiemdinh8424 жыл бұрын
It will shorten it for sure. Depending on how severe the anti-lag is, i.e. how high are the exhaust gas temps and for how long . There is a reason WRC cars would change turbos every event.

I don’t want to be that guy, but I don’t see any one else going there so screw it. I call BS. You’re making 700 hp at 3000 rpm with REAL rally spec Anti lag. All on stock I beam rods while running consistent hot laps? No chance no way she’s holding together. Maybe I’m wrong, it would be cool if I am. But if I had to bet I’d say she’s built and your playing with class rules or something. That being said SUPER cool car. Real anti lag though? Amazing
@khiemdinh8424 жыл бұрын
He's making the same torque at 3krpm as redline, not the same hp. So roughly 425tq.
@mikecullingford97174 жыл бұрын
@@khiemdinh842 I think this is the key here. It's a high revving engine with "relatively" low torque at 425. High RPM limit makes the power figure look massive.
@Ryousure4 жыл бұрын
600 HP on a s2k f20/f22 stock engine is normal bud. Its Forged from factory. Now the trans and diff is the weak point. Torque that low is a different story .
@jub074 жыл бұрын
He also admitted that he has two engines available. I have a feeling his definition of reliable and yours are probably two different things. He didn't claim to have put 100,000 miles on this engine in this configuration. As pointed out, 600 hp is pretty common out of stock block s2000's. Most do not hold up to track abuse but most of those systems are not thought out nearly as well as this build. I believe the most common issue with FI stock block s2000s is that Honda uses tight bearing clearances. It's very possible that he has altered the clearances as well. I agree that I think there is not complete information in this video but to blatantly call BS is not supported either.
