I have a load of logs to clear off my redneck log deck and there's no faster way to do it than with the Japa 365 +Pro Firewood Processor.

Unleashed is a great way to describe that machine. It's a good thing you weren't close to the carport when you tossed that bark lol. Bill

lol....there was plenty of bark coming off these logs so if I would've been in or closer to the carport there would've been a few pieces bouncing off the steel for sure...haha

Thank you for running logs through that are bigger than 14”. Been waiting for someone to do this You won’t be happy cause you’ll be resplitting but that’s your issue, not mine 😂 just been watching you long enough to know….
@Back40Firewood
@Back40Firewood 8 ай бұрын
I'm not sure any were over 14", think the biggest was maybe 12" or 13"....the saw had just enough to make the cut. And yes some of the splits off the 6 way were a bit large, but I'll probably just pull those out for my personal use in the boiler.

@@Back40Firewoodreally? Some looked pretty big. I’d like to see you push the 14” “recommendation”. People in the real world would. That’s why I say that. Enjoy the channel and the videos. GO PACK GO!

Great firewood video. I was wondering how you inspect and sharpen the chainsaw on the Japa? Maybe you could do a video on that. Thanks much for sharing your videos!
@Back40Firewood
@Back40Firewood 8 ай бұрын
I usually just try to get a sense by how it is cutting...and if the chain has lost it's edge I just put a new chain on...can't really sharpen/file it like a regular chainsaw.

I would think about a dust collection system so you're not sucking in the dust to the engine when cutting, like Joe did with his Japa on Ohio Wood Burner.

Hi Daniel Akins I think I like the Japa is more Safer than the Easton Made being with the Hands Free operation I Wonder if they Would make it wider like the Easton Made don't get me wrong the Easton Made is a very good Machine But the Japa you can just keep feeding it and I think that's to your advantage on Production and Time 👍
@Back40Firewood
@Back40Firewood 8 ай бұрын
Yeah the Japa is limited on size of log and also needs to be pretty straight logs to be most efficient.

hi there nice splitting , Can you with the Japa cut 5-6 inch long rounds let them drop and split all 3 at one time to make your table top stove wood , ? best to all see you tomorrow night ,john
@Back40Firewood
@Back40Firewood 8 ай бұрын
The shorter cuts will drop down, but to line 3 of them up you need to manually do it. Is just faster to split the pieces one at a time even if they are short.

I've had a couple times where a round will jam...just open the hood and pound on the piece with another piece or raise wedge up and down to free it up. Also I'm just Dan...Daniel Atkins is another guy/channel...lol

Hi Im from germany. I have the same japa. Question: Why do you start even splitting step with the start/stop lever? You can start the splitting process with the joystick. The saw is finished, put the joystick full up. You start the splitting step! Greetings from Germany
@Back40Firewood
@Back40Firewood 4 ай бұрын
Hello Matt, great to hear from you all the way over in Germany. I actually had that feature disabled because I was afraid if there was ever a piece that didn't land properly and my wife was running the machine the auto cycle split would be trouble. I know what you are talking about and yes that would be the way to run it. Appreciate ya watching.

Sometimes I pull the saw lever and 'force' it through and it does 'sound' like it's under load, but then again it is bar deep in wood...lol...same happens with any chainsaw if you bog down on it.
