I must say that testing Teemu's drift car would be a dream come true to pretty much every fan ever. So I'm pretty jealous of Joona. And can't wait for the 2nd car to be done as we now have 2 drivers! 😊

I had the same experience. Learned drifting in the simulator and booked my first real life drift training in germany at the sachsen ring. The instructor said, the the goal for first time visiters would be to do one okayish drift. My seconded attemend after getting used to the car was already spot on at the curb at the exit. You just trained your muscle memory so well in the sim, that you just need a short peroid of time to calibrate yourself to the car and from then on its just fun and getting used more to the track and corners and imrpoving. Others in the course didn´t even got one clean drift out of the session. Simulators helped so much here.

I can tell that after driving simulators for 20 years i got chance to drive real life this year. It was so frigging cool. And it really was easier irl. Atleast with decent car.

Definitely cannot take away the fact that Sim Racing would/will help a person for “real life”. But over all, I personally believe that either someone “Has It, or they Don’t” . It’s just a matter of chance and desire on who gets the chance to try real life or not.
