I'm not so sure. Details like crank design changes were covered, but I'm none the wiser as to WHY the Lamborghini V10 takes boost so well, assuming it does. Zero mention of the longevity of these boosted engines. Also world record was mentioned a few times in a vague way without saying what for exactly. I'm guessing road legal (in USA) half mile, but I have my doubts that's exactly what was meant. In short I don't think I was satisfied after reading the title.

I'd always thought that despite being an "exotic" car, the Gallardo (and in effect, the Huracan) has become the the successor to the Supra JZA80 because of how that V10 handles stupid amounts of power. Glad I'm not the only one who thought about it. These twin-turbo Lambos are really potent, can't really argue when some really consider them the new "King of the Streets" because of what they can do.
@midnight347 Жыл бұрын
Look at how much they cost tho man. You can build v8s to do similar things with aftermarket parts for way less money. They are potent but not the best for the money spent. These are rich peoples toys. Mods coat an ungodly amount too for them.

@Lil' Ike I mean, there aren't many v8s that can compete with the huracan, z06 and zr1s are limited by rwd and less tech, and the Ford gts cost similar prices. I remember the first huracan I saw on the road in the Denver area years back... we was at a hotel traveling through and visiting family, and it was pulling out of store nearby. A subdued gunmetal color that was perfect for my first view of the model. I hadn’t been keeping up with the automotive world, and it was such a pleasant surprise. A few years prior I had driven the aventador at Las Vegas speedway and was honestly not so impressed with it 😅 I remember enjoying the turbo s more around the short track, but that v12 sounded gnarly up top. The low end just didn’t excite me compared to the ls3s I was accustomed with, and I could feel the mass around the bends.. My favorite car is the 03-04 ford gt, but next to that is the viper. I grew up with a love hate relationship with the sound of those 8L v10 motors.. and always thought the 5L in the gallardo was lacking, but after watching this video, I have to say these have really grown on me the last few years. I never associated the model with the Supra, by oh my does that description of my taste in them fit perfect with your analysis. I’m content with the STI, but these Lamborghinis are something else. Anyone know what comes after the Huracan? The Revuelto was an interesting step forward…
