Turid Rugaas - What do I do when my dog pulls DVD

I was taught not to treat with my right hand if I'm walking the dog on my left. I treat with my left hand and hold leash in my right. They are doing just the opposite in this video. The reason is is that the dog will develop a habit of crossing over you to get a treat. I'm surprised to see it taught this way from such a famous and well known trainer as Turid Rugaas.
