ugh so thankful for these. we just had a 2 year old join my preschool class and she only speaks Turkish. it's so hard to communicate with her but every word I learn helps! The look on her face when she can finally understand something we're saying is priceless.

Lots of the words are very similar or exactly the same in Turkish and in Bulgarian... Pineapple is ananas(ананас) and orange is portOkal(портокал) the same but with O, flue is grip(грип)in Bulgaria and there are many many examples😂💖 Thank you for this video, Selin💖💖

I am a native Slovak speaker and here are the similarities: Cherry is vişne in Turkish and višne in Slovak. In Slovak višne is specifically the sourcherries. Sweet cherries are čerešne. Pineapple - ananas and ananás Raspberry is ahadudu in Turkish, and very similar fruit - strawberry in Slovak is jahoda (read: yahoda) Also in some dialects in Slovak, čilek (strawberry in Turkish) it means right now 😁 Also, a guy giving an apple in the old times amongst Slovaks symbolized love, there's a lot of folk songs about it.
