I appreciate the captions in both English and Turkish and the speed at which you are speaking. I can follow along much better and did not have to slow down the playback speed. Also, I agree, 4hrs per Turkish TV episode is too long!! Netflix will break it up into 45 minute chunks. Istanbul is far too crowded for me, but I enjoy other city centers in Turkey (Izmir, Trabzon). I think one reason foreigners get "bored" is that they are actually lonely. They don't speak Turkish, so they cannot hangout with coworkers and their families after work. It's hard to join a local gym and make friends if you do not speak the language. That is on foreigners to learn Turkish, not on Turks to learn English. If you stay in your apartment and stream Netflix in your home language, then you will get lonely. You have to make friends and meet up outside of work! Find places to volunteer and become a part of the community.

It would be really neat if you went to one of the open air markets and did a tour of all the fruits and vegetables and grains that are available! Not the famous bazars, ama mahalle ciftci pazari. I know it would help me to see all the names with what these things look like at the market when I'm trying to buy them. The fish market and the meat market make foreigners go WHOA its eyes are staring at me! But if someone wants to live in Istanbul, knowing how to get fresh produce and what is available is very helpful. Maybe also show all the different types of dried lentils and beans.

actually, I honestly prefer the natural speed, even as a beginner turkish learner. I've been learning with slow audios for a while and when I tried having a conversation or watching a series etc, I couldn't follow because I found it way too fast (because I was used to listening to slow audios). Because of that, I'm trying to improve my listening comprehension by watching and listening to turkish dialogues which are spoken in a natural speed. It's really hard at first but listening to them over and over again really helps to improve. My tip: First listen while reading the translated subtitles. Then listen again but while reading the turkish subtitle. Then listen again without reading any subtitles. You will realize how much you can understand now and how you start hearing the different words. It starts to get easier to follow. I hope they'll make more videos like this
