I watched my first turkish series a year ago and learned “merak etme”, “sakin ol”, and definitely “Allah Allah”. In the next series i learned tövbe tövbe and lan (because lan kept getting subtitled as “pancake” for some reason, and i finally asked a turkish person why the guy was shouting PANCAKE all the time). As a self-proclaimed dizi watching expert, I also recommend learning “dalga mı geçiyorsun?!” and “ne alakası var?” for maximum dizi comprehension.
@brunilda

This is where it gets tricky for me when I try to read phrases like “Allah Allah” because the ending “h” in this case get combined with the “A” of the second “Allah. So to me it sounds like she is saying “Allah Hallah” I think I should switch to learning Italian or Portuguese instead those are much easier to learn. 😭🤦🏻‍♂️

@LosInmortalesGallos
@LosInmortalesGallos 2 жыл бұрын
@@urwaali3696 I didn't said there was anything wrong, but for someone learning the language it becomes tricky because I would said Allah Allah and like I explained it sounds to me like the "h" from the first allah gets combined with the "A" from the second Allah and sounds like "Hallah", but I don't see where I said there was something wrong with it. If that's the way the language works then that's the way it's. I'm not criticising. I'm just pointing out where I'm getting confuing in getting the right prononciation when I read some texts. Thanks.

I was wondering about a phrase that might be similar to "Allah korusun". If you want something not to happen I heard "Allah'ım esirgesin" being used. Is it similar or a bit stronger in meaning? Maybe a bit old-fashioned? Moreover, I though about "banane" and "sanane". As I understand it might be written as one word, although before I've usually seen I written in two (bana ne?; sana ne?). I also came across "bana ne ya?" - is it much different form "bana ne/banane"?

Allah korusun and Allah esirgesin has similar meaning, “koru-“ is “protect” and “esirge-“ is “withould”. Also they made a grammatical mistake because they are actually “sana ne” and “bana ne”. Ne mean what, sana means “to you”, bana means “to me”. “Ya” is just an exclamation.

Bana ne? : I don't mind. Non of my business. Sana ne? : You don't mind. Don't get involved in my business or get involved in that business. Ya: It is used as an address meaning "ey, hey" or to strengthen some emotions. Sana ne ya? But it sounds like a rude word here.

Very funny and most interesting video! I have a few questions: - Why do I hear "afetus" instead of "afiyet olsun"? - Do you ever say tamri instead of god? - There is a phrase in Turkish that is, obviously, badly translated. In Serbian it's "ne duži!" which probably is "stop lingering, stop fooling around", something like that. I see that _a lot_!. What is it exactly?

Hello, Serbian friend 👋 1) I think you hear “afiyet olsun” as “afetus” probably because we say “olsun” a bit fast. 2) And we have the word “Tanrı” for God, it is not “tamri” though. We say mostly Allah, and we sometimes say Tanrı. As example “aman Tanrım” which means “oh my God” 3) I did not understand this one.

@@rabia1687 Thank you for answering! I'll try to capture that phrase, but it's hard to rely only on your hearing! (-:

Can the last one be “oyalanma” Because oyalanmak means to linger, do trivial things, spend too much time doing something. So we say “oyalanma” to say don’t linger, come on, hurry up
