We add sea salt as well & or the pink Himalayan sea salt for minerals.... you are correct about black pepper helping the body absorb the turmeric! I have 2 gallons of this in my refrigerator! Don't waste your money on that Manuka honey. Just make sure you buy raw unfiltered honey that is 100 flower Honey. I am a beekeeper so I know what I am talking about. Also another untrue statement in this video is that honey does not retain its great nutritional value when put in hot water or coffee. Fact. Honey has to maintain a temperature of 140 degrees for more than a half hour to pasteurize it. I don't know about you but my hot drink starts cooling down as soon as I put it in my cup. I do want to 👍 the video because anything made with real honey will build up your immune system. Thanks for the recipe.

This was awesome. Those are half of the ingredients I use to make my elixir juice, except I steep them in spring water over the stove and I add beet; the other half I juice lemon-lime-oranges and pour that fresh into my jar after i've taken it off the stove. It's SO good, so healing, and so natural. I will never go back to store bought juices or anything else. I had to do a ton of research to find natural healing remedies to make my own juice to combat my bronchitis, but that was also a delicious beverage to drink throughout the day.

My husband was on a list for two years waiting for a hip operation ( was down to bone on bone and in horrible pain). I made ginger pills from drying ginger and then grinding it and putting it into empty pills, the same with tumeric ( just the dry store bought from spice isle). When he went in to his pre-op they wanted a list of drugs he had been taking for pain,,he said none! Explained what we had done and they were amazed! He had stopped the inflamation which caused the most of the pain. He took at least 4 of each of the pills daily, we also drank tea made of ginger and tumeric root nightly. It also helped with my gout I get in my toe periodically. We also did 3 months of straight keto at the time. After the operation he was up the next day, going up and down stairs, and with in a week a small exercise routine daily. Within 3 weeks he was back to normal activities. Back to work with in 3 months.

In India everything has a pinch of turmeric. The west might mock at the yellow curry and it's nothing but turmeric. My grandmom's ritual which has been passed on to her by her ancestors and now she has done the same to my mom and me. In the morning we have turmeric, ghee and jaggery. If there's a pain in the body, milk and turmeric. We bathe with turmeric and neem leaves paste on certain days of the year. On our marriages, there's a ceremony of turmeric.

Awesome recipe for the winter. I believe you only need about 2% black pepper of the total volume of tumeric to get great absorption. also if you added one tablespoon of coconut oil in there it would absorb even more. The cayenne pepper will also help it absorb into your body better. You might like a recipe called Golden milk. It's one tablespoon of powdered turmeric half of a can of organic coconut milk, a quarter tablespoon cinnamon , a Sprinkle of black pepper , one tsp of coconut oil , one tablespoon of honey, and a half of a cup of spring water.Heat up on stove top,stir....enjoy.

I suspect that because of the high honey content, refrigerating the mixture may not necessary as honey is one of nature’s ingredients that doesn’t go bad and with anything coated in honey should be OK. Following other channels I’ve started making fermented garlic which has only two ingredients, garlic and honey and isn’t refrigerated, just stored in a dark cupboard and it lasts for many months, regularly stirring the contents or inverting the jar, in fact one example was still good after a year. Having said that, your “concoction” looks very interesting and I will give it a try.

I never thought to put garlic in it. I DO put nutmeg and cinnemon in it, as well as the juice from a lemon and the rind.. Also, putting it in a jar like that looks like a good idea. I would just boil it in a pot on the stvoe and would add the honey then. Later after it cooled I could put it in the refrigerator and drink it cold. I would re0use the ginger and turmeric to boil another pot, because I would feather the ginger and turmeric using a morter and pestel. After the second batch, the ginger and turmeric are still good and with honey of stevia can be eaten like a candy. Good idea to mix it in a glass of orange juice.

Trader Joe's has a good Manuka Honey...I like this recipe as can safely take all these natural ingredients with auto~immune issues; some immunity boosting herbs can be contraindicated with Lupus, etc, but this I can do...THX!!

I literally bought tumeric, lemons and ginger yesterday. I don't have manuka honey but will make it with the honey I have...

Look at the ingredients in the honey you have some cheaper ones do not contain honey, when you use turmeric you must combine it with black pepper or it won't work, a tiny amount of cayenne is great this spice kills bactaria, little advice for the corona, up the zinc and vitamin c,,

Add GARLIC TO IT and ferment it,(cover with honey in a mason jar burp daily and let ferment for a month) then use for a salad dressing, its more powerful fermented, any turmeric not heated will only give 1% of the curcumin, even with black pepper, you need to HEAT or ferment turmeric to get the benefits

I just get a flu shot which already have, try eat allot of stuff with high vitamin C and use that big box packet of Emergency C I have. But I know the stuff you made is a solid idea as well.

If you have your own bees and your own honey from your own bees, use it!!! That's the only thing better than local raw bc it's yours. You know what's in it.
