I just microwave a cup of water for 2 minutes and add 2 slices of turmeric, 2 slices of ginger, a dash of pepper and I squeeze a slice of lemon. I let it sit for 10 mins before i enjoy it. Next time will add a few drops of extra virgin olive oil 😊

Thanks for mentioning the addition of oil as I wasn't aware of that. One important to mention though. Honey should never be boiled or heated, so please add honey and lemon after the tea has boiled and started cooling. Honey loses its nutritional benefits when added to hot water. All ingredients need to be beneficial when taken so I never add lemon or honey till after its done.

Lemon and honey should be added after the temperature cools a bit like 7 min as both will get denatured at boiling temperature

Great video. However I let the tea sit for at least 30 minutes to an hour to allow the ingredients to infuse into the water before straining. Organic honey and lemon added and it's an amazing tea.

Thanks for the video, my mom is having covid (which happened suddenly) and the rest of the family have mild cases exept my younger brother. the reason why I need this recipe is because turmeric and ginger is well know to help with cold and certain diseases and it also aids the lungs, and making it into a hot tea helps with killing bacteria and viruses because of the heat. Once again thanks

Yes, you can. I am not a nutritionist so I am not sure if it will lose its health benefits. Though I serve it cold like ice tea during the summer months and it feels really good. Hope this helps.

Based on what I've learned from other videos, it begins to lose its value the longer it sits. It's still beneficial but the earlier you can consume it the better. Place in an airtight glass bottle and refrigerate. I would use it by the next day.

You should always add honey after the concoction is Poured into the Cup n not while the concoction is boiling according to Ayurveda. Honey looses its properties and turns unhealthy when boiled.

I’ve seen other recipes that say to boil for 10 mins but you say to strain as soon as it reaches a boil. What is the difference?
@FoolproofLiving
@FoolproofLiving 2 жыл бұрын
Hello M! It is because you do not want to boil turmeric too much. Most resources say that it looses some of its health benefits when you boil it. And yes, you can add a cinnamon stick if you want. Though I would recommend starting with a small amount, giving a taste before putting more. Same goes for ground cinnamon. I hope this answers your questions. Let me know if I can help you further. Cheers!
