I am thrilled to hear a doctor promoting herbal remedies. I take turmeric daily - 1500 to 2000 mg with Bioperine per day, and have been for a number of years now. I can attest that it was extremely beneficial in reversing memory loss issues I was having, has been terrific at reducing joint pains from years of running marathons when I was younger so I can exercise without pain, and just generally makes me feel pretty darn good at 65. Thank you for promoting its use as a doctor.

I concur to everything you said. My internist Dr. approved it for my daily use. I almost have reactions to almost all medications. My doctor also said that it is the best natural inflammation treatment. I tell almost everyone I know about this turmeric. God bless us all.

I mix it with fresh lemon juice, honey, and add place pepper if I have some , I sometimes run out of pepper.i top it up slightly with warm water, this gives me a half tumbler glass. I'm 76 now, but still work, excercise on the bike and lift weights.i feel pretty good most of the time. I have lots of energy. Hi Doc. You could also mix the tumeric into the water / almond milk / soy milk / oat milk - make it a daily drink rather than just the powder. It's A LOT easier to handle. Also, if adding it to the above milks (not dairy - as dairy is inflammatory), then you can also add a bit of honey / agave / maple syrup (or stevia even) to sweeten it up (especially if having it with pepper). :)

@@lizzy6319 according to Ayurveda, the molecular structure of the honey is changed as soon as it is heated and it forms into a compound called as "ama",. this "ama" is a glue-like substance, which can neither be digested by the body, nor it can be excreted from the body. this leads to accumulation of this toxin inside the body and causes problems

How great it is to see a medical practitioner promoting the use of non- pharma drugs where possible! When I commenced studying for my naturopathic diploma back in 1979, my first great discovery was that inflammation is the root cause of all disease, without inflammation there can be no disease! Turmeric/curcumin is equal to, or even a more powerful an anti-inflammatory supplement than the pharma drugs like ibuprofen etc.,which is really saying something! Thanks again Doc Kneller!

@@mikederidisi5805 you could be right! Are you able to point me to something that explains this? To my thinking ... I have an autoimmune condition caused by top-up Vs💉 I ‘had to’ get after I finished my course of study. This has caused my immune system to attack me, which is **causing** chronic inflammation ... therefore widespread pain / muscle weakness / tingling or creeping sensations in my legs, feet and hands. Also causing nerve pain due to attack by my immune system on the myelin sheathing surrounding my nerves. Also ridiculous levels of fatigue. I’m fighting back HARD and with MUCH success, with high dose D3 (@ 30,000 IUs per day + co-factors,) now turmeric in large amounts for inflammation, fennel, black seed powder, plus many, many other supplements that I take on a daily basis. Incl. guarana when needed for energy and also herbs for pain. So I see the inflammation being **as a result** of the autoimmune condition kindly bestowed upon me by the Satan worshippers who think they run this place. Where is my thinking wrong please? @@onlyhis5870 When a persons Ph blood level is lower than normal (being acidic) which is commonly the case nowadays given people's dietary habits, they have inflammation in various degrees, which in turn bring about inflammatory or autoimmune diseases. Unfortunately, so many are born with an inherited high acid blood level, the inflammation is already in residence for other conditions to take off from there. Anyone with a raised blood acid level has inflammation.

@@mikederidisi5805 interesting you say that! I’ve actually heard that it’s better to be more on the acidic side than it is alkaline. Something to do with the electricity flow within our bodies. My autoimmune condition was caused by the Vs 💉 I had. They damaged me - as they have done to countless others as well. Not caused by any genetic or hereditary blood PH levels. And this is most certainly the *cause* of the inflammation I have now taken control over.

WOW! I pay my respects to this doctor.....can't say I've ever seen or imagined a human ingest powdered turmeric. As beneficial as Turmeric is, it has a rough taste. Also, not mentioned but vitally important is the fact that many powdered turmeric products contain fillers and lead.....the "superfood" label for this spice has incentivized many producers to mix virgin turmeric powder with fillers and lead because they add weight and increase profits. Kind of like how olive oil bears a greater resemblance to motor oil. For turmeric, check for labeling that ensures heavy metal free or do your own test by dumping a teaspoon of powder into a water-filled glass...if the powder doesn't quickly fall to bottom of glass and lingers in clumps at top of glass, you can be sure your using "heavy metal" turmeric. I don't recommend lead poisoning while trying to fight inflammation.

It might be really difficult to pour ‘Turmeric Powder’ down your throat & drink water afterwards. So it’s best to dissolve 1-tbsp in 1/2 or 1-glass of warm milk or warm water but it tastes better with milk 🥛 & most of all, its swallowed easily. Try it. In what proportions do you mix turmeric with black pepper?
@TheDajoca
@TheDajoca 4 жыл бұрын
Great information, though powder with water is a bit harsh. A much, much better way to take turmeric is: Gently heat a teaspoon of coconut oil or olive oil in a saucepan. Add a pinch of black pepper, 1.5 tsp of turmeric and a little milk to disolve it all. The oil and the black pepper aid the absorption of curcumin, which is only ever about 2% of the total weight of turmeric. If you want, add some cinnamon powder and chilli pepper to taste. Pour into a cup. Rinse the pan with a little milk and add to cup. Add 1/2 a teaspoon of honey and stir. It tastes wonderful and goes down so much easier than powder and water. Be aware of the yellow cup, yellow saucepan and yellow moustache afterwards though.
