Yes! Also was a little foggy on needing to eat it raw. Crushed could work and be more edible in salad dressings.

Moved to tiny town, no sidewalks to walk on. I've been cooking a huge amount of veggies weekly, lasts about 4 days. Brussels, onion, cabbage and GARLIC. Banana every evening, too. Mega salads always. Hope this gets me a nod !!

My grandmother, a poor uneducated farm girl from Lithuania, came to the US in the very early 1900's. She used to tell us that garlic and onions were "good for your blood". I guess the old timers were pretty smart.

Love you guys and Bert and Ernie ohh and garlic but it can be fussy to peel so I peel a few heads, puree in food processor and freeze in mini ice cube trays. So I have it prepped and ready to go in a container in the freezer. I do the same with onions and ginger.
@TalkingWithDocs2 сағат бұрын
If you take a broad knife sideways and punch it down to break it, it will be easier to peel!
@triplethreatyes13 минут бұрын
@@TalkingWithDocs thanks for the tip hehe I have done that and I have a silcone garlic peeler but I don't always use fresh garlic so then it dries up haha and of course that is when I need it. So now I keep some in the freezer 😁 I also do this with lemons. I squeeze a whole bag and freeze in small ice cube trays.

I love garlic. I eat it with split peas, eggs and mixed into a stock cube with tomato paste. The flavor is volatile. After a while, one clove becomes equivalento half a dozen. Eat it as soon as possible. Garlic is expensive compared to other vegetables. Although, growing on a small scale in a garden, I don't really know why that is. The yield is similar to onions by head count. Garlic keeps a really long time in a basket. I still have some from July. I washed it, dried it in draft and put away. I don't care about health. If you listen to enough of these programmes, everything becomes a health-promoting food.

Guys guys, you have to be careful recommending beneficial foods and supplements. So many people take this to heart and believe it is something they MUST have. So many people have been sick for so long without a diagnosis they will become obsessive with anything and everything.

Who is naughtier b/w two of you 😂 This video is funny, I can just imagine a surgeon working with the other garlic breath surgeon in close proximity and getting upset lol b/c even the surgical mask won't offset the garlic power. My own dad had stressed out this principle upon all of us that " we all had to eat garlic at the same meal time and none will consume it alone, if the latter, than the person had to sleep anywhere but home. Great funny video

I love garlic. And I've learned to enjoy my own company 🤣. As for antioxidants, I was wondering how taking too many antioxidant supplements affects the body's own antioxidant production. I've heard that this can be reduced to regulate how much we have. Would be interesting to hear your knowledge on this.

Loved the intro!! 🤣There are odorless garlic supplements available. Coming from the 'Old Country' my Grandparents were very accustomed to the benefits of garlic. (Just to tease my Grandmother, my Grandfather would finely chop up a garlic clove & chew on it, passing a piece to me & I would do the same. Her reaction would be one of, oh, you two stink!, as we chuckled.)

I'm a "Natty". Homeopathic. Great info on garlic. Didn't know about waiting 5 or 10 minutes. I also didn't realize that cooking reduced garlic benefits. Garlic may increase testosterone in men, but if they smell like garlic, women aren't going to want to be near them. I love garlic and I don't get near men anyway, so it doesn't matter. Haha

I do and easy to find organic stuff, I'd read a book about garlic which went as far as to say old wilted stuff just as nutritious! Crushing it releases its strenght too (I leave it to my teeth) as that's prob anti-vermin stuff being released, if you find your avocado too eggy, sprinkle diced upon with oil/vinegar, off to 🍇Niagara soon!
