Even though I'm a beginner, sometimes I want videos like this to understand the process behind these kinds of animations. We often think there are complex processes involved in creating a short scene, but that's not always true. Simple and clever approaches can make it easier to achieve great results in no time. Thank you for this video! it helps me a lot.😍

1:02 sorry I cannot follow the post which is 1 frame before and after every tenth frame. Is there a detailed version?
@manzup3r3 жыл бұрын
I started following along, but I got stuck in the part where you "flip its body to make a belly". That would only work if the reference was perfectly symmetrical unless I'm missing something obvious. Hopefully, I can figure it out. I tried a mirror modifier and it was intersecting in weird ways and it was at that point that I pretty much hung up the cape. This is a cool demo for what u can do on Blender, but it's so oversimplified it regrettably doesn't teach much.
@hoolopee3 жыл бұрын
Ah, sorry to hear. Select the entire body in edit mode - duplicate, then scale to -1 on the z axis. That should flip it correctly. I appreciate the criticism, I'll try and be clearer next time
@manzup3r3 жыл бұрын
@@hoolopee Ohh, that makes sense. I figured out another way to do it by going Object > Mirror > Z Global, but ur shortcut's better. BTW, the same can be said about Ian Hubert's lazy tutorials, which are generally very well-regarded. What these type of videos lack in instructions, they make up in inspiration. I don't know if u would consider it, but a Patreon for long-form tutorials and posting some blend files would be dope!
