Could you make a video sometime where you do your top 10 or however many favorite turn based games of all time? Maybe you already have such a video but I haven't found it
@TurnBasedLovers18 сағат бұрын
Yes indeed. I'm going to work on something soon

You dont need a top10 list. All you need to do is to play The Banner Saga trilogy from start to finish.

Bel video come al solito, Wizardry pare non male! Ma Marcello mi aspettavo una top10 dei migliori giochi usciti lo scorso anno... mai arrivata...

I did not realize Heart of the Machine was developed by Arcen, I've been a big fan of theirs since the original AI War. I wishlisted that one right away!

Indeed, even if i never played AI War. Is it good?

Check commander quest (demo available right now). Mix of real time "tower defense" but you also send your troop on lanes against the ennemy, haves spells etc and turn based card game (the troops are cards). It is quite well done and I think I will let myself be tempted to buy it even though I cannot beat the first chatper (for now :P). Out in march though.

I'm going to check it :) Thanks for the heads up

Marcelo, what's up? Do you have any suggestions for a first-person Dungeon Crawler game for beginners who have a certain aversion to this gameplay of encountering static enemies on the screen and only performing attack, defense and magic inputs, where the screen just flashes and the damage counter changes? Well, I tried some titles like Wizardry: The Five Ordeals, but I found it boring and gave up after about 4-5 hours. I really missed some dynamism in the animations, I missed seeing my characters acting and performing their attacks and magic on the screen... (I know it's in first person), but just the screen flashing and you hearing the monster's screams of pain and the damage being calculated is kind of tedious. But I really feel like there must be a title in this style of Dungeon Crawler RPG that can captivate me, I just haven't found it yet. One of the things I get most lost in RPG games is exploring maps and secrets, walls that I can break with specific skills, spells or secret passages that I discover by ignoring the boss's gate and continuing to explore every corner of the map. If you have any recommendations or lists of games to recommend in this genre that aren't too dated, I'd appreciate it. I've said too much, sorry.

Using classical paitings as artworks without it being a stylistic choice is either clever or very lazy, I can't decide. But it severely clashes with the low-poly everything else (number 2 Rogue Hex)

None of these really excite me. Those Who Rule, Heart of the Machine and Citizen Sleeper 2 might be good and I have them on my watch list but.... - Those Who Rule's graphics are really off-putting to me - Heart of the Machine's demo didn't grab me as I couldn't distinguish what/where things were. I think I lost the demo because I was supposed to meet some guy and he was absolutely hidden in - between really tall buildings. - Citizen Sleeper was an okay game but I grew bored after a while and never completed it. I'll keep an open mind but these all look like "buy on sale or not at all" types of choices.
