Have been using this T9Y and IA8 rx(in Durafly T28) per your vid guidance with success...(flap servo/airbrake is in channel 7, functional at best)...ch6 is vacant on rx. Am installing Aerostar RVS 50A ESC to add motor reverse function, to somewhat shorten landing rolls. Any possible way to use that ch6 (7&8 are in use)to activate available toggle, ele or ail dir switches, for the reverse feature? My plan B would be to garner 10 ch tx/rx set. Any thought sir?🤔

G'day Rudy, while I have not used the 9x in a very long time, my recollection is that the radio is still using ch6 internally for the flap mix, so you can't use for other duties. Cheers Michael

Hi Michael, I have tried the 6 channel and 9 channel rx on my FlySky 9X and nothing at all happens when I duplicate your setting on my TX, any ideas?

G'day +RC REVIEWER I guess if all the settings are exactly the same, then I'm at a bit of a loss. The key will be to find what the difference is. While I don't think there is any difference at all between the FlySky branded unit and the Turnigy unit, is it possible you have a difference version of software on the FlySky? Maybe run through the original set-up vid kzbin.info/www/bejne/oWKxdHmvhdWhhZI and see if there is any difference there... Good luck. Let me know how you go. Cheers Michael

So where do you plug 2 servo cables in the receiver??

Flaps (on a y-harness) should be plugged into the receiver channel 6. From memory the reference in the radio to GEAR is 5 on the receiver, FLP is 6 on the receiver, AUX1 is 7 on the receiver and AUX2 is 8 on the receiver. So this update to the previous video shows moving the physical connection in the plane (receiver) from channel 7 to channel 6. This is why the mix changes the master and slave. Master being the internal and slave being the corresponding channel on the receiver. Although it has been a few years since I looked at this radio. I hope that helps. Cheers Michael
