Hookll Extra 300 Maiden Flight (way too windy)

G'day All,
I have been looking at the Hookll on the bench all week and thinking about this flight. The 7 day forcast predicted the weather was to be almost perfect and a bunch of my flying buddies also had new planes to maiden. This could have been a Super Sunday Mega Maiden! But as the weekend grew closer the wind kicked it up a notch. I debated with myself for about an hour and then though, “to hell with it, I'm going!” It was not the most exciting or eventful flight, but I was happy to get the Extra 300 up and down safely. Hopefully, we'll get some still evenings this week and I'll try again. Thanks for watching

Cheers Andrew, I think slow flying was about the only stunt I was pulling off. Tonight was a joy with virtually no wind, but no vid. Maybe next Sunday!

Every Suburb in Oz has an Aircraft Carrier deck, My local council just renovated Ours with a perfect concrete lip and manicured grass surround. Wish They were wider and longer. Hahaha, You braver than Me, a maiden in howling wind, well done Friend!

Cheers Jono, not sure it was brave, but I got away with it this time. I'm definitely with you on wishing the "council supplied carrier deck" was wider! In more favourable conditions it does make for some fun trying to be accurate though.

G'day, great model. Hookll seems to make nice products. Quality is as good as any other foam planes I've had.
