That turned out so beautifully. If you want some more length you could take a page from the 1960’s and 70’s. There was a lot of gathered ruffles and some very unique colour and pattern combinations!! Almost anything went together!

The symbol on the sticker on your machine is a reminder to change your needle after every 6-8 hours of sewing. That’s generally the manufacturer recommended frequency, but most people don’t track the time we’re sewing, so we just change as we feel it’s needed. So, no, nothing will technically explode if you remove the sticker, although you might break a needle if you don’t change it when you should. :)

Meanwhile, I live in those dungarees from that brand. I brought several pinafore dresses but never reach for them. I'm doing clothes swapp with friends. But I have a favourite pair with a print I love that got bleach on the bottom. I think I'll have to give this a try! The outcome is beautiful

Thank you! It is incredibly short but with leggings or shorts underneath it's not too bad 👌

Love it! I recently took an old skirt I never wear anymore and flipped it upside down and made a top out of it that I wear all the time now. You definitely inspired me to do this with more of my clothes! Love the color too. Green's my favorite

Oh wow, that sounds really cool! Mine too, I'm very tempted to dye all my clothes green and rock an emerald city vibe 💚

Looks great!!! That scrumble of thread is because of your tension. Have you considered adding a ruffle or trim to the bottom of the skirt to make it longer?
@sadiebelcreations2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Ahhh that makes sense - when I put the little stopper thingy on the spool arm it stopped doing it so that was probably screwing with the tension. I did think about it, but because I didn't have enough of that fabric left over I couldn't think of what kind of fabric would work well with it 🤔

Well done, you could always add a gentle frill round the bottom if you feel uncomfortable with this lengt.

Funnily enough I was thinking about that yesterday as I went through all my clothes! I may just do that 🥰

Just needs a ruffle on the bottom to pass the bend test ;)
