I did all the same things to my Tahoe but also put a quiet but free flowing exhaust system, cold air intake, a massive transmission cooler and grabbed a tuner to turn the temps the fans kick on down to a lower temp(massive improvement) but also optimized the old girl for a little more power running E85. All in all it feels lighter on its feet unloaded and I’m not afraid I’m going to blow it up towing my boat when it’s 100°.

What adapter kit did you use? Looks like this model Tahoe has to be direct wired in….

Temperatures are totally normal GM likes to run their stuff a little hot. Changing the thermostat does not change the temperature of the coolant. It just messes with the temperature sensor for your coolant. Which could make your car run a little rich. So in this case Rich means spending more money on gas which equals poor😅

might want to try cleaning your cooling stack out if that and the thermostat doesn't fix it might need to switch to a fan clutch

It has electric fans, but they don't kick on until 210F (or around there somewhere). Since putting in the thermostat yesterday, the truck is staying closer to around 195-200F on the road unless I sit still for a really really long time. I'll probably tow with it this weekend, so hopefully it does better this time! The next step would be flashing the ECU to lower the minimum temperature for the fans to turn on from 210F to maybe 195F or so.

That's normal for Temps best thing u can do is just put it in 5th Geer don't let it go in 6th you don't wanna make it run cooler than 210 it don't run right and you will plug your cats
