Turning The Tables on the South - Victoria 3 - United States Guide

Every once in a while, it's important to go over the events of the American Civil War, but going over the same history over and over can be boring. Thanks to Victoria 3, we can play the United States however we want to, and that's exactly what I'll be doing.
By having a civil war over slavery, and triggering the journals that come with it, we can force the Dixies into ghettos, while elevating Afro-Americans into a higher position in the American world.
In this United States guide (sort of) I'll show you how to take out your anger on the Dixies and remove them from power through violence, and how to elevate the privileges of other cultures in your country so they can prosper.

12:52 As far as the state of slavery in vic 3, it's currently just a law which you get rid of to raise your sol and reduce the landowners power. It is a disgusting misrepresentation of one of the most oppressive institutions in history and does not show any of the impacts it had on people or the countries it was used in. as far as gameplay uses, the only 'benefits' are lower wages and for espcially small countries, the imported population can make a difference

hey Tarkusarkusar, I think it is possible to enslave the dixies, I read on the wiki that when you enact slave trade it has the effect of "Discriminated Agricultural Workers are enslaved if Slavery was abolished less than 5 years ago" so if at the end of your run you were to: unban slavery, reban slavery then quickly unban it again you should have the dixies working in agriculture enslaved. If you still have the save of the game you could try and do that and make a pretty funny youtube short out of it.

Slave trade can be good if you have a low population. It's free population. I played Buganda once and them and the East African nations start with it and the slow flow of slaves was necessary population growth since they start out so low and expanding in land area is very slow for them.

Possibly. I'd have to force the Dixie's into a very low income level, but the problem for me is that with Debt Slavery, anyone could be enslaved, but I wanted only Dixie's to be enslaved. Oh well
