Great video. When I worked construction, I used to use mink oil to "water proof" my leather boots. Is this something that was known to be done in the Viking Age / where did you come by this particular treatment? And, could you give us a more complete recipe / ratio of each ingredient that you used. I would be very interested in trying this out. I was raised on Norwegian Cod Liver Oil and love it / use it to this day. It will be hard to part with it in applying some of it to my boots / viking shoes...but...will try to bring myself to do so.

Thanks for the good content. I have a question on turnshoes and I am desparate to find the answer. I made turnshoes from the same leather both pieces (vegetable tanned 1,8 mm). It is more accurate as far as I know. The problem is that seams are messing with my fingers and it is not comfortable. The shoes were not soaked in water because it was possible to turn them out without this step. Is there a way to solve this issue or I have to live with it?
