Good point. Tracking was more so if something happened I can say where it was, i.e tickets, tolls, accidents, ect. But you're absolutely correct in your statement 😢!

So what happens if a renter is involved in an accident? Even if the cost is not out of your pocket, you might not have a car until damage is fixed. Also, do you inform your insurance that cars will be used as rentals?
