Yeah, the odd thing about this was right before this Pandemic, I got around to loading Roms onto my SNES Mini, so I could show my 7yr old nephew what I played when I was a kid, and when we came up on "Neon Night Riders, A.D. 2020", he looked at me and said "Wait, thats this year!". I instantly felt like old, as I explained to him that in 1992, thats what we thought the future would look like, and that we as a human race thought a little too highly of ourselves back then lol

While we’re talking Turtles in Time, I’ll take this moment to say (for the millionth time) that Nickelodeon & Konami need to get those awesome TMNT games back on modern consoles. They made that Arcade1UP TMNT cabinet, and while I understand licensing for a limited release like that is one thing, and getting it on consoles is obviously more complicated.... but man, I really need a TMNT Beat ‘em Up game collection. It was a sad day when the games got delisted years ago, never to see the light of day on our home consoles... please, someone make this happen... PLEASE!

I definitely like this version of Slash, compared to the cartoon version that’s still coming up in the figure line. He just looks so much more deranged and Slash-like (whatever that really means lol). I guess he just reminds me of that old vintage figure we got back in the day. I’m just not as into the toon version.. It’s just my personal design preference...but it still looks like a cool figure though.

NECA should do their own pre order for the consumer. I just want the core set to display. I am not into re selling or any of that sort of crap. I wish that NECA would do all of the different colored Foot Soldiers, along with their appropriate weapons, the A6 Annihilators, the Mousers, the Road Kill Rodneys, the Tubular Transports (the little bug eyed helicopter drones), the little Frosty the Hit-Man robots (which are on Tora's stage), the Venoms (the little laser shooting scorpion robots with bladed tails that are on Shogun's stage), Blades (the one eyed gorilla built ninja that hop around and shoot kunai), the Vincent Van Growls (those giant paper tigers that attack you from the walls of Shogun's stage), the Pneumatic Module Tubes/Technodrome Drill Elevators, as well as add in Tora, Shogun, and all of the bosses of the TMNT arcade games as well.

All toy companies should take out a leaf from NECA's book. When u do a figure the fight way it will sell like hot cakes and it can be used again and again with different paint apps and accessorys. I have the first TMNT Pixel sets and I have no probs buying these again because they are the best of the best.

The way NECA repaints their figures, I wouldn't mind if they redecoed Slash in the style of the vintage figure. I'm still getting the toon version, but that mold just looks badass.

Even though I don't collect the arcade figures (don't care for the pixelated look), I _had_ to get Slash. Since the cartoon one isn't the same...and no guarantee they'll re-release this figure in a normal paint scheme. Now if they do a "looking like the original figures" line (like with the He-Man line), we'll definitely get it. I'd certainly buy the brothers again if they have their original colour scheme.

These look great. Really hope during the next episode of the Pixel Dan & Randy show you can find out if Neca would consider releasing this game version of Slash in cartoon colours. Even if it had to be done as a con or Loot Crate exclusive, fans will want it.

I wish NECA would just put out an accessories pack with the boards, I don't care for the repaints, I mean if I get the licensed deco ones, wish I might, would be my 3rd set, I can't go for 4. Slash on the other hand I've preordered already. But looking at it somethings weird and I couldn't get why the 90's figure resembles the sprite's face more than the NECA one, but I notice it's the mouth. The 90's figure and the sprite have the same mouth expression, and NECA's has a more smily expression. Just my 2 cents, still love this arcade line and at this point is my fav to collect.

Heat don't seem to work on "all" joints. I can't get them to bend at the elbow without over pressuring them (with heat). In fact i wouldn't dare to over test them without expecting breakage. Having said that, they are really awsome and find them to be fantastic collectibles.

Also I am not sure rumors are true. Neca possible will bring another 4 Ninja turtles, but in different colours like in classics. Neca CONFIRMED 1. Four Turtles same brown/greenish colour from cartoons CONFIRMED 2. Four Turtles with same bright green colours from stickers, T-shirt, bags etc. RUMOR 3. Four Turtles one with navy green ( Leonardo ), one with bright green ( Raphael ), one with dark green ( Michelangelo ) and one with dark brown colour ( Donatello ) from classic figures in 80's-90's

Hey Pixel Dan, great review as always. One thing I noticed though is that both on Leo’s and Slash’s chest there’s a very visible mark from the twist ties in the package. I think that’s important to mention so Neca might perhaps stop using twist ties (they’re useless anyway since the plastic tray holds the figures very well on its own). Both my Cartoon Leo and Donnie have the same indents (in fact, each of my figures in the cartoon line has some trace of the twist ties being applied too tightly) and once you notice them your eye always gets drawn to that, at least with me. These figures are near perfect so it’s a shame that those marks are there, ‘scarring’ the figures. Maybe I’m overreacting as it’s not horrible, but I think it’s important to mention.
