@@SudokuGuy Hi Robin, I too noticed you had 'locked number 9' but with a 9 in R3. I assumed it was because you had done the puzzle previously and so, knew it would be OK (I used to make the same mistake teaching Maths - it's very embarrassing!). I paused the video to find another way of doing this and found the hidden triple in Block 3. Now back on track. Great teaching!

Dear Robin Sir, now you are teaching Sudoku on the computer, which requires some skill as to which number to push whether it is a small number or a big one. I think it is a blessing in disguise for you not having your usual big board. It motivated you to use the computer and teach at the same time. Although I like the computer sudoku, I kind of prefer the board, but understand we have got to keep up with times. Board or no board you are an amazing teacher sir, God bless you with immense Health and Prosperity.😀🙏🙏❤️

Hi Garden Bee, the reason I used the computer was that my famous white board was on a ship somewhere in the Pacific Ocean on its way to Australia where I now live. close to family. The ship was held up due to covid but I still have much to share so I used the computer for the time being.

Thanks to your early tutorials, I started to do Easy Sudokus with.. well, ease. I do the NYT games and used that to play. But when I tried the Medium difficulty, I was flummoxed. The gap between Easy and Medium seems rather dire. And Medium uses fewer filled in numbers than you typically start with. In fact, they start you off with 24 filled squares. Now, I am on your video tutorial # 16 but wanted to move ahead to see if it would help me with the NYT Medium Sudoku. The problem is that the examples you provide have built-in aids/scenarios that are not available at this level. Or it seems that way to me. Should I just keep plugging away from #16 onwards to pick up techniques that will help? Could you perchance show-and-tell a NYT Medium Sudoku with 24 numbers only so I could watch you work through it? Your feedback would be much appreciated.
@SudokuGuy3 жыл бұрын
Hi Shama, I suggest you look at my tutorials as I do many medium puzzles from the beginning to end. This I am sure will help you to learn more techniques and tricks. Hang in there., with practice you will improve. Tutorial 83 is for advanced levels. Hope you learnt something. The difference between easy /medium and hard...there is no accurate rule to explain the difference. An many publications vary e.g. some use the number of initial numbers but this is not always good guideline.

The 9's in the upper left box were not the only 9's.So, you forced the single 9 into the 3rd top box which eliminated the 9 left out of the first left box. Isn't that just how a mistake just worked out by chance?
@SudokuGuy3 жыл бұрын
Congratulations. You are right Yes I was lucky. However this was the situation. Before I filmed I had solved the puzzle without the small 9 because I had i(f you look at the puzzle) solved the locked 2 's in block 7 earlier and in so doing this put a big 2 into cel 2 row 3 eliminating the small 9. When I filmed I missed this move by mistake thus causing the little 9 to stay. Later I did this missed move.
