At 6:20 it filled up and you put the covers on after. Is that good enough the way it filled up slowly?? Mine doesnt fill up all the way even after about 5 minutes but i can tell its still filling very slowly.

Are the vent covers reusable and is it possible to put a layer of silicone on the outside edges of the controller and battery box to prevents leaks?

Why not use some marine grade sealant products? drilled holes on boat applied some of that, no leaks even submerged on lakes/ocean.

Aren’t those gaskets lubricated with grease by FM? Even if there is no grease, you should thoroughly clean (grease free) any part or surface in order for the silicone to stick. Any contaminants will make any silicone seal fail.

Hi, I just wanted to ask, is there any reason why FM doesn't manufacture their boards to be water proofed like this? You'd think they'd want to do so, to dissuade people from opening up their board.

Why would they do that? Why make a product that lasts? You break your board, void your warranty, buy new or pay for repair. No incentive to waterproof till some gnarly competition does. That being said FM doesn't have anywhere to upgrade to, being all about conformity so maybe in another 4 years there will be a 'water resistant' release with fine print stating not to ride in the wet.

Noticed the mud on the inside of your fender. Try doing a coat of car wax on the underside, seems to keep it from sticking.

Is the Vent there for a Reason. I think the battery gets Hot that's why there is Vent in the Battery Case.

Indepth waterproofing does not void the warranty according to FTC law. "unauthorized" repairs cannot void warranties and void stickers are illegal to place and use. This is why FM needs to be reported to the FTC.
