Wow! Erstmal vielen Dank! Eine Frage: Für was gibt es dann noch die normalen Renderinstanzen? Die sind doch eigt. völlig überflüssig. Habe eine Szene mit viel Gras und Büschen mit Clonern erstellt, die alles auf Renderinstanz gestellt waren (weil so gewohnt) und da hat nach 10min. mein rechner gesagt "kein RAM mehr"...ich habe 128GB by the way...jetzt habe ich auf multiinstanz gestellt und nach 3 Minuten fängt er an den Light Cache (Vray) zu machen...obergeil!

echt? ich rendere gerade seit 2 wochen eine szene mit paar football helmen und Gras... 6 min per frame - absolut zum kotzen, gras ist gecached aber macht keinen unterschied.. ich probiere später mal das multiinstanz ding aber wie ist das dann mit finalem rendern? und muss dann die fläche mit dem gras gecloned werden für die multiinstanz oder gibts die auch im gras setup? weißt du das?

Unfortunately, this is also all useless for creating complex scenes. More trick to speed up the viewport. 4 million copies of an object with 960 polygons will break your system. In the old version of 3Dmax, 5 million copies starts rendering in 25 seconds.

I understand that you are a patriot MAX. I walked away from MAX, after he began to constantly drop from large, complex scenes. In Cinema 4D, this scene opens without problems.

@@dronsigma8428 Absolutely not. In many things, 3d max is a piece of shit. To be honest in high performance 3dmax with clones I achieved using a multiscatter plugin. So you are right. I just wanted Maxon to pay more attention to the performance of such an important generator.

so i have to say that C4D costs way to much and is without plugins nearly useless today and Blender 4 example renders nearly live while i render a frame in 6 minutes in C4D (with a good setup) so in my opinion maxon will break their neck with acting like this - render engine is nearly shit, particle systems are shit if you wont use a plugin and so on
