Thank you so much for adding the amount of magnets used with every tutorial. I got so sick of trying to build something from a tutorial only to notice by the end that I didn't have enough magnets. I subscribed to you channel because of this.

A bit difficult. Not too bad unlike the planetary gear set. Very nice, good job!

Thanks! It is a bit fiddly.

Thank you for this! Would you consider making the nested cube frame please? Like a small one. I think it not really hard to make, just dont know the technique man! thanks again

You're welcome! I am planning to do my next tutorial on the nested cube frames.

Thanks for the tutorial! Is this the same assembly process that you used for the small cubes in the Cube Frame Dodecahedron?
@Mathnetism7 жыл бұрын
You're welcome! I did use the same technique in some parts of my Cube Frame Dodecahedron, but I think I made the outwards facing corners the 'usual way'.

What was your most difficult build? Thank you for the tutorial style videos as well :)

You're welcome! I think the compound of four hollow hexagonal prisms, the regular polylink of eight triangles and my planetary gear system were some of my most difficult builds.

Hey Mathnetism what are you working on now?
@Mathnetism7 жыл бұрын
I'm currently working on some builds using the orthogonal icosahedra as subunits.

The diagonal cube shapes are by far the most infuriating shape to make because my magnets never want to work with me whenever I try. Even if the polarity is the same and even if I make it exactly as shown in these tutorials, my magnets always find a way to not want to work with me. So I have no idea why I cannot seem to make these shapes in particular and I have no idea why they work for you way easier than they do for me.

If you're not using Zen Magnets it might be because of a relatively big difference in size between the individual magnets you're using. The face centered cubic lattice used in diagonal cube shapes is based on the spheres all being the same size.

Mathnetism All of my magnets are exactly the same size. I'm not sure if there are polarity differences between Zen Magnets and the ones that I have.

I know some cheaper brands have a lower tolerance than Zen Magnets (see e.g. this comparison video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j5CvgZt-l7KBarc). I don't think there are any polarity differences, but I guess the strength of the magnets can play a role as well.

Mathnetism Yeah my magnets are actually pretty strong so it makes it harder to make diagonal cubes and similar shapes.
