I remember Steve Reich saying in an interview, that people use granular synthesis to compose music the way he does. Now I understand why he said that, it makes perfect sense.

I own Pigments for some time now and I'm still shaking and scratching my head: how on earth can they do that? All these fantastic, amazing, incredible sound creation opportunities in just one piece of software at THIS price?!? To be honest: the remaining reasons to buy any hardware synthesizer today are the touch of cold metal (at best) or plastic, and the hands-on appeal in the sound creation process. That's it. The sound options themselves are long covered by PC software.

hey there, I want to turn quantize mode and use the E natural minor scale. i understand that I have to have only the notes of the natural minor scale highlighted after i press the button under the quantize mode button, but how do i make sure pigments knows that i want specifically the E minor scale and not another minor scale?

Arturia should be the first software company to come out with a midi drum kit. You’d think native instruments would have done this by now. I have a 2019 MacBook Pro with 6 cores and 16 ram. And it doesn’t like native instruments gear. Battery drains to 50% within the hour. Any suggestions or Wisdom on this?

I think the sample you chose as example is the most confusing you could chose for this tutorial.

Came for a new granular engine. Got a lesson in sample looping. Not one Granular sound for 7min and 39seconds. Nice RR though!
