I have a TV licence but regularly watch your videos as you give the correct information in an entertaining way. I think the threatening letters should be reported to the Advertising Standards Authority or similar to put pressure to re-word the letters in a less/non-threatening way.

Just do the declaration using the name "Legal Occupier", it's what the illegal threat letter says, in fact here's every single one proving harassment and saying "Legal Occupier" should they somehow manage to get it to court

I HAD a licence and still got letters for 6 months until they worked out one had been bought in a different name. They couldnt even check if there was a licence at the same address when the previous person did not renew..

I’m sorry but doing a No Licence Needed Declaration doesn’t tell them who you are as there is no need to provide a name and you can use an anonymous disposable email address. It also doesn’t guarantee a visit because me and my family have been doing them for over a decade at three different addresses and we have never had a visit. I can confirm that it also stops all the letters for 2 years.

All I get is an email every 2 years to say I need to declare again if I still no longer need a TV license. What I do get is scam emails saying my payment has failed for the TV license which I do have a good laugh at.

That's very sound advice on the no licence required declaration, even if TV Licensing do you have you on record as living at your address, as the declaration confirms to them that is still the case. I no longer make the declaration. Crapita, rightly, cops a lot of stick for their threatening letters but shouldn't the BBC too? Capita do get the blame for the letters but they don’t send them , Capita only provides the visiting agent. The letters are send directly by the BBCs Licence Enforcement Division using a London based bulk mailing company ,

Technically, there's always a lag (between one person's brain and another person's brain) and too few of us know what somebody else is thinking before we do. Nanoseconds, maybe, but probably not 'live' by scientific standards. Has the BBC said how many nanoseconds their idea of 'live' is?

For Licensing the definition is scheduled broadcast , you can find the time in a magazine or TV guide against on demand when you watch at a time that suits . Am sure they do it just to confuse ,,,,

Not so , the Communication Act gives the power to investigate , it’s not the only example , the RSPCA is the investigation power for Animal Treatment , The Customs and Excise can investigate , The Communications Act is a Summary Offence act , not an arrestable offence so can be investigated by authorised agency who can issue Court Summons for breach of the Communication Act 2003 which is a criminal statute ,
